what a shame that the wifi is not free. Hotel is becoming old, the furniture are not modern but the breakfast is very good, a lot of choice.

Excellent location, friendly staffs...
Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks, price was bit dear but worth it... It's close to everything, the BTS is just 5mins walk away and there's 7 Eleven and a 24 hours grocery. Make sure when you catch a taxi, catch it at the end of Soi 5 and always ask for a metered taxi. Will stay again at this hotel on our next holiday in Thailand.

Every thing perfect (if you take your meals outside, but plenty of good places for that around) we asked for top floors we were booked at top floor, the water sink was emptying too slow, quick call to reception 10 minutes later problem cleared, internet wifi working super for us except one evening we got a break, at 7:30pm a technician came , brought a spare wifi modem in the room 10 minutes later solved, really excellent reactivity English is still not fluent in the hotel except few managers and even, only problem we got was actually with asiarooms and not benja, we never found a solution from France to extend our booking by 1 night without cancelling base booking (modification dont work on yr site) so i finally opened a second file, we never received any answer from you after the automatic machine message acknowledgement to my mail inquiry, not fair excellent bathroom and strong shower, delightful air cond perfect to sleep, we felt "Royal" thank you

Hotel itself is reasonably priced and offers large rooms with fabulous views of the city and friendly staff. The rooms are rather old and musty and have few amenities, though (no coffee maker, alarm clock, etc.) Guests should be aware that the location is right in the middle of the sex trade zone and the area is quite seedy. That said, there is a skytrain station very nearby that is very convenient.

Royal Benja Hotel is situated at the...
Royal Benja Hotel is situated at the end of a small road off of a main road. The road is narrow and the pavements are not very good, so if you find difficulty walking then perhaps this hotel may not be for you. The location overall is very good, just a short walk to bars and restaurants and plenty of shopping available nearby. I was very impressed with my room, a good size, modern, and always clean. The bathroom was excellent, it has a bath with a shower attachment and a large walk in shower. Not alot to watch on the tv if that is what you like to do, only English channels were CNN and BBC. The swimming pool is ok but a bit shallow, so it is ok for children but it is a bit noisey at the moment because there is a construction site nearby, although this did not spoil my enjoyment too much. I found the staff very friendly and enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

This hotel has tricks to charge you...
This hotel has tricks to charge you large amounts of money. I had a visitor, and they immediately billed me 800 baht extra for the visitor. Watch out for hidden problems at Royal Benja. When I would not, security forcibly ejected my visitor. I will never stay there again. There is no Internet, and purchase of a WiFi connection is expensive and very poor quality. It is at the end of a dirty alley, and Taxi drivers and other hawkers will pester you walking up this alley. The rook is OK, but the Hotel stand over tactics to extort money is a huge problem.
