The hotel is situated away from the MRT and BST so getting to around either requires a walk to a river taxi or a tuktuk/taxi ride, this is slow in the Bangkok traffic. The Kaosan road is close but requires crossing a busy road. One plus point, it's close the Royal Palace and Wat Pho.

I did not have that much cash on me; my passport was required to cash a TC so thier kind offer to keep this as surety was not practicable, so we settled on my last £20 note (needed for a taxi when I arrived home), this would be returned when I checked out. It was!
