We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the silom serene. Location is excellent, although it was a little hard to locate at first, as it lies just off one of the main Bangkok through-fares, and our confirmation indicated that it actually fronted the through-fare. The hotel interior is very modern and attractive, and the rooms are an excellent size and very well equipped. The Sky Train is a five minute walk, and the Patpong night markets are even closer. Many food vendors are within the immediate vacinity, as are several cash machines. Only criticism is that some of the staff were not as helpful as we had hoped, but by the same token, others were extremely helpful & friendly. We would fully endorse this hotel to anyone looking for good value, well located & modern facilities in Bangkok.

Silom Serene is set in a quiet...
Silom Serene is set in a quiet street very close to Patpong, the really busy night life scene. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are lovely. The only problem is that the swimming pool is very small, and there is little space for more than a couple of people at once. The restuarant has excellent food and is well priced. There is an internet cafe across the road, and a laundry down the street. Convenience stores are very nearby.

This hotel is in good location, round...
This hotel is in good location, round the corner to Silom Street Soi 3. Its near to the Saladang BTS. And there are nearby shopping centers, spa retreats, day and night markets. We had tasted some food at the nearby street food stalls, had a bite at the 24 hrs MacDonalds, and got some of our stuff at the Watson convenient store. Rooms are spacious and well equiped, well decorated very clean. Buffet breafast we had was just nice. There is a gym and a pool there but we didn't get to use them. This boutique hotel offers reasonable good price. And for the location and it services, I highly recommend it.

The place is located near the BTS...
The place is located near the BTS which is very convenient for tourist to travel around. Its also situated near some shopping complexes, spa retreats, day and night markets, etc which makes the place really colourful. Besides that, entertainment, food, shopping are all easily accessible as well. Hotel, overall, is really good. It exceeded my expectation as I thought the place would be mediocre. However, this boutique hotel offers excellent rooms, breakfast and good service overall. And all for a good price. I highly recommend it.

our stay has been quite comfortable although the lighting in the bathroom could be improved. Perhaps adding another light nearer to the bath tub would be a good idea. The water pressure is not consistent either. but overall, the bathroom is clean and the room, cosy and spacious. locationwise, the hotel is near to the sky train station and there are plenty of restaurants and shops along the way. with the night market practically right at the doorstep, i would recommend this hotel to anyone who intend to do a lot of SHOPPING.

Don't be put off by the dirty...
Don't be put off by the dirty street this hotel is located in as it has no reflection at all on the hotel. We stopped one night at this hotel on our way to Koh Samui with my daughters. We were most impressed when we arrived and had a wonderful time in Bangkok. The Silom Serene is perfect for the sky train (a perfect way to get around Bangkok). It is also near Patpong market which is very interesting. The majority of staff were extremely friendly (maybe not so the checking out staff), but maybe they were having a bad day). We also ate at this hotel - which was really very very good. The rooms were very clean and good value for money. We would definately stop here again.

This isn't the first time that I...
This isn't the first time that I am giving my feedback on this hotel, but the fact that I am a returned customer should say much about the hotel. That said, this is a functional hotel with few frills. The location is good, the cleaning staff are attentive (corridors are aired in the day time, carpets are vacuumed daily etc), some service staff wear smiling faces but some don't (maybe they have been there too long and are jaded), the receptionists are helpful in getting information about places and events. This time my only gripe was the failure of the hotel to fix the ventilator in the bathroom despite sending in a request form on the first morning of my four-day stay. No big issue but the steaming up of the bathroom mirror because the steam couldn't be channeled out, was a minor annoyance in a hotel that prides itself on efficiency. Also, if the hotel is reading this, it is good to turn the mattress around regularly so that it doesn't lose its firmness on a particular side. The mattress is my room (312) was rather soft on one side and so didn't provide a comfortable sleep.

I've stayed here a few times on business and I've always found the rooms and facilities to be fantastic value for money. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. If you're looking for a cheaper, more chilled out alternative to some of the larger chain hotels in Bangkok whilst not wanting to completely slum it, then the Silom Serene is ideal. In terms of location, its only about a 5 minute walk to Sala Daeng Skytrain station. A word of warning though, if you're trying to get to the hotel by Taxi, you may need to have the address written in Thai as on each occasion I've stayed there, the taxi driver had no idea where it was!
