A friendly hotel
We found the staff helpful and polite which is what you would expect in a smaller type hotel.
The food at breakfast was of european and asian variaty and was good quality with egg dishes cooked to order. We had one evening meal in the hotel which was avrage but the service was poor. Meal prices are reasonable for hotel dining.
We stayed in a basic room which was clean and bright with wood floors. Bed linen and towels were changed daily as standard practice. We arrived at 11.00 am and we were shown to our room immediately, rather than wait until the official check in time of 14.00. The pool and surrounds are rather small but quite pleasant and adequate and it does include a spar. However, the pool area receives virtually no sun due to the high buidings surrounding the hotel.
The cost of staying at the Silom Serene is more than a lot of other 3 star hotels , but we would be happy to book there again and also recomend it to friends. It is idealy placed for transport, shopping, clubs, bars and there are a huge variaty of eating places nearby.
