Great location right off of Nana Skytrain...
Great location right off of Nana Skytrain station. Room wasnt ready when I arrived even after I was promised it would be.

Its truly a lovely hotel. I stayed in 5 star Hotels, but that was then. I come to Thailand often and this is the one place that I will stay again. A bit difficult to find, although is in the center of everything, and my only suggestion is to print the map along with your booking and all you have to do is show the map to the Taxi you will be taken exactly to the spot without a hassle. The low price of the Hotel puts you in the mood that you are booking into a cheap joint, but you will be pleasantly surprised !!

I guess I have to say... you get what you pay for!
Not sure how anyone can give the great reviews that I saw on Asia Rooms before I booked this hotel.
1) True... the location is great, as it is 2 min to BTS and easy for food and bars.
2) The rooms are very dated... I don't think they have ever remodeled. I visited 3 rooms on my stay. I requested non-smoking.. but Asia rooms did not transmit this request or it was ignored by the hotel. They moved me to another room which was on a smoking floor... which made me very irritated and then i had to wait until the next day. So i say rooms on the 7th, 9th and 18th floors... and they are all the same. OLD
3) Towels were torn, showers had little water pressure and water is not hot.
4) No blankets?
5) No Internet available in the rooms... only the Lobby and it is NOT FREE!?!?!?!?!
6) Breakfast was mediocre at best... the hand made omelets were the best thing.
7) This hotel was mostly full of older guys that were taking chicks home from the bars. The first night I was rudely awakened by a drunk girl thinking it was funny to ring my door bell.
8) No electronic keys to the room... you have to remember to lock it all the time.. from the inside and out.
9) If you are a non-smoker... you smell smoke on every floor... even the non smoking floors. seems to get into the A/C system.
The GRAND PRESIDENT hotel was a much better stay... although it is about 2,000 THB per night or a little more.
If you are traveling on the cheap... and looking for a place to shag.. well... this is it. Bottom line is there are better hotels for the money. Spend an extra 500THB a night and stay elsewhere.

On the positive side, the staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. The first night I received a smoking room & the vault in the room was locked. I voiced my complaints and I was moved to a suite on the top floor for the 1st night. I seemed to be difficult to get a non-smoking room at this hotel! The bathrooms were fine except it's time to replace the shower heads with ones that work! I also enjoyed the inclusive breakfast buffet...and the staff were always willing to cook up a custom egg dish to your liking!

Perfect location, 2 minutes walk from Nana BTS. Room very clean and decent size. Buffet breakfast was great, also had a small pool nearby but I never used. Only complaint was the tv - lack of English channels, should be improved considering the rates!

I visited Bangkok in June 2009. Hotel,s location is very good. Bed rooms are spacious but there are no carpets in the room. Bath Rooms are old and having no proper lighting. Breakfast has lot of variety, I love it. Staff is friendly. The hotel is good for budget travellers.
