My friend and I (both in our sixtys) were first time visitors to Thailand. The Tai Pan hotel was in a great location. A short safe walk to the metro with connection to the sky train. There is a side street with lots of bars, girls and massage? that we passed every night but we never felt unsafe. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection. Dinner was not expensive and and we enjoyed everything except the whole fish which was really dry. The people on the desk went out of their way to assist me when I needed help with the internet.
Everyone was very friendly and polite. The pool was clean and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and complementary bottled drinking water. We were happy to have bedside lighting that was bright enough to read by. The only things that we were not really happy with were the hard beds, and there is only have one computer for guest use. We will stay there again.
