The room was dark and dingy. There were dead or dying cockroaches in the bathroom and the fridge was unusable. The shower was good and the bed clean and comfortable although the pillow as like a slab of concrete. I would not recommend this hotel to people or stay in it again in the future.

I am so offended by the lack of service and lack of the smallest conveniece (like a working TV !!) after asking for it and having one of your staff attending to it with no result. In managed to make my day on a bird's nest and shark fin feast and can only say: your Hotel should be shut down for all sorts of reasons - some of which I have uslessly outlined in this message: since I will never be compensated for the worst night in Bangkok ever: I eill gladly make sure to book with 'The Royal' as I always do (just was a little late this time). YOU WILL HAVE TO THINK OF SMETHING QUICK SMART TO MAKE UPB FOR THIS but then again I am convinced that I'm just waisting my time. Sincerely - Walter Widmer.

i wouldn't recommend anyone to stay in the White Orchid hotel. 1st of all, the furniture are very old... of course i don't hink anyone would expect much from a 2 star hotel but frankly speaking it is worse than i thought. anyway service is good. location is ok but too far from the mrt and skytrain.

Stayed at the White Orchid for 5 nites in June 2005. Location is great, lots of nice food including the road side stall at nite which sells fantastic and fresh seafood. Lots of shopping within this area.
Hotel room wise, the air-con is really very very rundown, but the bed and toilet was well cleaned. The breakfast is the same everyday, but with a price of $30 Sin a nite, we can say its well worth.
Recommended if you are looking at budget.

This was my second stay in white orchid hotel in 3 months time. The location is good, especially good local food just around the corner. Also good accessible to location like MBK, world trade centre and so on..... The only area I feel your hotel can improve is the quality of the bed. I could feel the spring behind my back and they are very uncomfortable. However, overall I will grade this hotel as good n cheap place to stay, if you are not a " high class travellers".

The room I had was full of cigarette smell. But the room is just basic. There was no bottled drinking water which they use to have. The breakfast was good. Location is great as there are plenty of small food stalls and restuarants near the hotel. Watsons is just beside the White Orchid hotel and open till late. A great convenience outlet. Should go to Texas Suki for the steamboat just turn left and turn left into the side road then walk straight ahead until you see a big signboard! Excellent!

I'm a bit disappointed when enter the room. That's a strong medicine smell. After the air-condition on, the smell is still there. Anyway, the price is value for those budget travel. Luckily, the breakfast is good as what I expected. The hotel is very down, the bed is out of shape, refrigerator can't used, only 2 towel provided. I found a fantasy place fm the local ppl --> Sapan Phut. You can take taxi to Sapan Phut (night market), it's near to the river side which not far fm the hotel (<10 minutes). The price compare Sapan Phut with oth is much cheaper. I do buying a lot of cloth!!

For the price u pay for,u cant expect more. A very very basic room just for sleep....room condition was quite run down....
But the service at the reception was quite bad as they don't even border to check for me and straight away reply me dont know when i approach them on which terminal should i go to for my flight.
