Location is definately unbeatable, very convenient to good food and wholesale market. The hotel food is also quite tasty. However, the rooms are very rundown and smelly, some upgrading is required.
I have searched for a budget hotel...
I have searched for a budget hotel around the shopping area via the Internet. White orchid was very close to the shopping area. Moreover it was not so far from the attraction like the Grand palace, The Emerald Temple and museums.
The room was fine with the clean bathroom. Breakfast was good comparing with price. For a Backpacker It was a fantastic place, I would like to recommend this hotel.
It was my first time in Bangkok, I visited many attractions and went shopping not stay all day long in the hotel. It was well worth for the money and time.

The Hotel was located in the Heart of China Town within walking distance to the Shopping area. The room was spacious. The standard room did not have window but the purpose facilities were acceptable. The price was so cheap although the location was excellent. Newly underground also make the White Orchid Hotel more convenient to access to Sukumvit Rd or Siam Square. Over all it was the budget hotel values for the money.
PS. I booked with voyagenow, the price will bargain.
The receptionist that picked up my phone...
The receptionist that picked up my phone needs to be replaced because when I wanted to know if they found my handphone in the room which i checked out, she keep repeating she does not have the key and ask me to return to the hotel. Leaving me irritated and unhappy about the way she handled my call which could have been dealt with better. Even though the room is reasonable for the price and location good, I would not recommend it due to its poor service.

One best point of its location surrounded with good & cheap food and places to get anyone thing you need for your trip & friends . But with this good roomrate , not mind just for night rest

The hotel is O. K. with the price like that I don't think any one will cry. I find the breakfast are better then the four star hotel in Bangkok, this is a guess house not a hotel.
