this place is great for any backpacker...
this place is great for any backpacker or a couple. they have good food and excellent service plus there is no extra charge for bringing in a guest, ;-) . rooms are nice though a bit small, bathroom was nice and the management was excellent. got TV in the room with the fridge and a minibar and water. my recommendation is that u skip bangkok and/or phuket and come straight to Ko Samui for a day or two and stay at Grand Rock Resort in Lamai, ask for Eddy or Jon, and get a 10% discount. if ur looking for the nightlife, its a lot better in Ko Samui, Chaewang beach. the place: grand rock resort is right next to grandfather/grandmother rock: waves crash, not a place for calm waters but great for relaxation. staff is very helpful, got pool, overall a great experience. even got a DVD/cd/mp3 player with hot shower. After, ko samui, head to Ko pha ngan and head directly to Haad Yao (West) near Reggae bar (u can find ganja here easily) and Green Papaya resort (staff are assholes!). Instead of taking a right, follow the path straight to the beach, and u will find My-Way bungalows right on the beach, and to its left (3 lines of shacks down) Asia bungalows (best place to be in Ko pha ngan) with friendly staff of which one is fluent in english, calm and clear waters, and great place to relax. they even got a swing off a cocunut tree with great accomodation. This is a ultimate place to relax with several bars on the beach, great snorkelling and diving and a yoga resort nearby. Have fun and stay safe.

The staff was not much cooperative. Breakfast was good. The room doesnot have any window or balcony to look outside view. Room is narrow but have standard facilities. Overall okay !

The room was clean, but very small and very, very old.
I would not stay again, because the location is not good for shopping, it is too far from shukumvit and other central places. I would stay in Bangkok City Inn at World Trade Plaza.
