The Vengtahi was ok, it was nothig special. My wife and I came from some really fancy places in the southern part of Thailand with great beaches and super facilities. We were on our honeymoon and only spent one night in Bangkok. Based on where we came from and our previous experiences this was by far the least appealing place to stay, however the circumstances and expectation levels were obvivously much less than our previous accomodations. This hotel would be great for single guys and backpackers due to the relatively low cost / accomadations received. The Vengthai was centrally located in Khao San Rd area and made travel to several good tourist locations easy and affordable. Budget travellers and single guys would love the area bars, clubs and all sorts of cool things to see and do are within minutes of the hotel. Tell the taxi drivers to go by the meter no matter what they say and you will save an tonne of money!!!
