Nice hotel nearby Khao San Road. Price/Quality is very good. If you have a room at the front of the hotel, it could be a bit noisy from all the music and people on the street. You can ask for a room at the side of the swimmingpool. (That's more quiet) The Swimmingpool is relaxing. Unfortunately after 2 or 3 o'clock, the sun is behind the other buildings and there's only a spot in the shadow left. But, I guess nobody goes to Bangkok to take a sunbath. The breakfast is very good.

We stayed at the Viengtai Hotel for...
We stayed at the Viengtai Hotel for 3 nights and the hotel itself was ok. The only negative thing was the noise from outside and even inside (others guests) during nighttime, it was quite hard to get some sleep. I´d recommend this hotel for people who wanna go and party on khaosarn road but not to people who are looking for a quiet place to stay.

perfect location, good breakfast, good price. in bangkok you can find cheaper places at same level but not available on internet. very good certified travel agency on the ground floor of the hotel!

The reception area and pool were very...
The reception area and pool were very good. The rooms were very poor quality. To be honest the rooms were a dive and not worth the money we paid. The overview said that the hotel was constantly modernising etc - well the 2 rooms i saw, which were on different floors and different parts of the hotel were definately not modern nor even pleasant to stay in. I would not stay there again nor recommend it to anyone.

As always Veingtai proved a fantastic place...
As always Veingtai proved a fantastic place to stay in the most exciting part of Bangkok. Although a bit old, the rooms are large, kingsize beds are firm and the staff very friendly and helpful. Wait til you try the breakfast, you will be lucky if you need to eat again that day.

the hotel is located right around the...
the hotel is located right around the corner from kho sna road a very busy place at night. The staff was very helpful and seemed to be happy. The people in the travel and reservation place were very helpful. The palces are in walking distance to the hotel but taking a taxi is a good idea sence it was very hot. The buffet for breakfast was excellent. Lots of variety.The pool was great on a hot summer day. I would stay agian.

The best thing about this hotel is...
The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is the perfect combo of central to the action yet quiet in the rooms. It is also a good choice for a large clean room with a safe, internet connection for a fee and excellent air conditioning. The downside is the bathroom was dim and had a very low ceiling. My fiance is 2 meters tall and he couldn't stand up straight in the bathroom. The shower was so cramped for him that he couldn't even use it. This hotel is a better choice for shorter guests.

Checked in very early (7.45am) and we...
Checked in very early (7.45am) and we were able to get access to our room straight away. This was a very big plus as we had travelled all night and needed a shower and rest. Room was good and the beds were great !! The bathroon was OK but could have done with good scrub of the tile grouting. Nice shower,good pressure. This was our third time to stay at this hotel and we found that the breakfast had much improved and it appeared the hotel was doing much more business. First time to use the pool area which although well shaded was a relaxing place to be . Access to the pool area was from the third floor and would be difficult for anyone not so good on stairs. Staff very helpful and for a late departure they have free lugage storage. Dining room had a fair menu but a bit overpriced . Our bedroom was to the rear,looking into a multistory carpark !!but it was nice and quiet at night on what is a very busy tourist street. Location is good with easy acces to the river and many tourist areas. Would be happy to return again john&phil
