This not my first or my last...
This not my first or my last stay at The Palazzo Hotel, I have stayed a few times at this hotel during my visits to Bangkok. The hotel location is just within walking distance to Huai Khwang MRT station, Huai Khwang Market & Pasar Malam (night bazaar), Robinson, Carerrfour & Jusco Supermarket also nearby massage palours. The hotel reception staffs were helpful and speak english, doorman was helpful too.
But one important thing I must feedback to the Hotel Manager and other guests staying at this hotel is try not take the taxi outside the hotel who wait there all day for to prey on the hotel guest staying there. On both occassion I took the taxi called by the doorman to the bunch of taxis who are waiting outside the hotel and once inside the taxi driver will try to con you by telling it is cheaper than charging by the fare-meter, never believe him, always insist to go by the fare-meter. Second occassion when I was leaving for the (new) Airport, the doorman called the same bunch of taxis who are waiting outside the hotel, once inside the taxi=driver again told me to pay him extra 300baht beside the fare-meter charge because on the way back after driving me to the Airport he cannot get passenger on his way back. I told him off that this is not my first time coming to Bangkok and it isn't my problem if he cannot get any passenger on his way back after driving me to the Airport, I threatened to get out of his taxi if he insist me to pay him extra the 300baht. So I feel that it also the hotel manager responsibility to do something about those taxis waiting outside his hotel to prey on his hotel guests because it does affect the reputations of his hotel business and to also the tourism of Thailand.
