A nice and very quiet hotel not to far away from the tourist attractions. We booked an appartment facing the swimmingpool.

The first room I entered had heavy smell of smoke than I request to change to nonsmoking room, but the new room sill have slight smell. I think it should have room for nonsmoker.
Secondly the (wifi) internet speed is not stable and very slow.
Beside these two, everything is good I like.

- big clean comfy and safe room.
- despite the size of the property its quiet. most are longstayers so its not bustling like a usual tourist hotel with busy movements all day long.
- staff was happy to let me extend checkout to 2PM free (shd be 12PM)
- my opinion : great value for $ for business travellers, singles on mid-range budget and probably families with kids too.

As a single man I loved my stay in Bangkok at this hotel,People very friendley work staff as well as other gest.Every thang you need in waking dist.like living in an apartment,with out having to clean up for yorself.I'd recommend for any age.grate transpotation in area cab,tran,busline just outside the gate.do and go were you want anytime of day or night.

Stayed a total of two split weeks...
Stayed a total of two split weeks in June. Staff were friendly and helpful.Rooms were clean and modern with internet access and cd/dvd player a bonus. Breakfast was taken poolside - limited but filling and tasty. The apartments are ideally situated for shops, eateries and transport and provide guests with the opportunity to explore a vibrant part of the city.

I have stayed in this hotel from 28/4 till 3/5 2008.
Although i knew the location of the hotel is not close to the citycentre its no problem to find a good way of transport. The MRT-station is only 5 minutes walking from the hotel. The hotel has good security - which is important in any big city. It has a stylish inside garden which gives you the relaxation you can use after a busy day of shopping in crowded Bangkok.
The pool is big enough and clean. There is a small but sufficient fitness centre with a good instructur.
I loved this place and my overall impression is very good. Maybe there is one thing to improve: breakfast is simple. But you have to focus on the price and Amanta really offers you a good value.
I always prefer smaller hotels like Amanta as i get more personal attention i think. I definitely get a real ment smile at the reception desk. See you next year i hope !
Being a regular traveller to Bangkok and...
Being a regular traveller to Bangkok and stay around rachada area, this is an ideal place to stay. It is basically a brand new service apartment. The apartment comprises of a bedroom with ensuite long bath and walk-in wardrobe. The living is tastefully furnish with sofa, TV, DVD system. The pantry is fully equipt and you can prepare your own meals and all cooking untesils and a fridge to stock up your food. There is a washer cum dryer to do your own laundry too. Basically is close to perfect for my requirements except that the dinning table is too small and only ideal for 2 as well as the plates, spoon and cups. I can invite not more than 1 friend to come over to cook up a dinner or order delivery service because the 3 person would have to sit on the floor.
Overall it is ideal place for family and business who can have a working station set up with WIFI interner access. Location wise, it is only a 5 minuts walk to the nearby MRT station and a 7 minutes walk to the Esplanade Shopping Centre
