clean and good-size rooms. nothing special in terms of decoration, also not sure whether i'd call this hotel "boutique-style". the location is somewhat remote, better to have a car, otherwise rely on taxi service. i would move the breakfast buffet downstairs as it is much nicer than on the 9th floor. good overall value though!

the hotel is a little out of it but I think in time it will be better surrounded by more bars There is a kareoke bar next door that serves good food and is full of locals. futher down the road 150yds good cheap bar that has the potential of being better. the beer prices in the hotel bar were good and cheap and the staff were very helpful. needs to be on the map more with the airport taxi drivers as few taxi drivers knew where it was . the local taxi drivers that did park out side couldnt do enough for you and could take you into the center or the airport at very reasonable rates. seemed to be oriontated to koren and eastern guest than to european especialy at breakfast but did serve cereals if asked for overall would recommend and would stay agian spacious quite rooms with good lift internet available would class as a very good 2 star or reasonable 3 star hotel

The room was lovely but because the hotel is very popular with large Asian tour groups people arrived in large groups at all time sof night and were extremely loud. We didn't get many good nights sleep (even though the beds were very comfortable). Staff were friendly but very limited English which was quite frustrating for even very basic things.

I have been staying at this hotel for several times and will continue to stay here because it is a clean and cozy hotel which fit my budget. Only set back was the low pressure water in the toilet shower which hopefully the hotel management can look into this. Otherwise it was excellent.

Like to list out the hits and Misses of this hotel, overall I think the hotel is ok, just ok if you just need a clean, tidy and reasonable furnished hotel. But i would not recommend for those who are first timer to Bangkok. Over 50% or more of the hotel customers are from china. They usually take in china tour group. The Hotel room is clean, tidy and simple but nicely furnished. (but do not expect it to look exactly like the picture posted on the web. it not that nicely done and not carpeted). The breakfast is ok, usual stuff. But, the hotel is very far from anywhere.(due to jam) It is really like in a no man land. the only avaliable and readily transport around the hotel is taxi, just taxi. thinking of walking to the nearest BTS, don't try. it will take more than 20 mins or even half an hour to reach. it not even within walking distance. And the worst thing is that, every taxi that i approached, did not know where is the hotel, even with the hotel name card with the map. i can say about 98% of the bangkok taxi did not know this hotel location. Sometimes i wonder whether this hotel is located in Bangkok. Remember to bring your own toothbrush and tooth paste as they will not be provided by the hotel. They will be charged if you requested from them. i think this really put me off as i think toothbrush and toothpaste are basic bathroom amenities that should be provided especially in a 3 star hotel. Last but not least, they got poor sound-proof door. so remember to be more considerate to lower down your volume when late at night. Most likely i will not go there again unless all other hotels are fully booked or I am in tight budget.

Very nice hotel, with a very good breakfast. The only downsize is its location - in a "no mans land", far from every public transportations except taxis.

The Howard Square is such a beautiful hotel. It looks like a 4-star hotel at a 2-star hotel price. I was captured by the beauty of the inside lobby and my actual room. The only bad part about staying at this hotel was the taxis and tuk-tuks had a hard time finding the place. Street names in Thailand tend to have alternate names. I just got so angry that I was driven in circles or denied a ride because drivers had no idea where the place was.

Stayed for two weeks, location is a little off putting in the beginning but is quitte ok. About 5-10 minutes taxi ride to the nearest BTS Surasak. The rooms are nice and quitte newish.. more a service appartment then a hotel. Staff were very pleasent/profesional. Would recommend if you don't mind taxing it.. very nice place and not to mention cheap!
