The hotel is good value for the price but the smell in the bathroom is bad.

this has been the second time we have stayed in this hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms although a little small are sufficient, being very clean. The only thing i would suggest is having tea and coffee facilities available in the room. this hotel is very close to the pratanum market which is great for the ladies for all that shopping

Excellent service, good breakfast and the food deliverd by room service was very good.
I just think the hotel rooms are due refurbishing.
Overall not bad for a reasonbly cheap hotel.

Stayed at PJ Watergate between 10-14July09.I've book 3 rooms. I've spotted ants along the window in one room. We were given smoking room. There was no connecting room. Do not expect nice view. No swimming pool. The cupboard are old. Sheets and toilet is clean. Toiletries and towel is available,no toothpaste. Housekeeping make up our room daily. Safe deposit available at reception. Staff is friendly and helpful. A small lift is available for guest but we stay at 3rd floor which is the highest floor. We walk up rather than wait for lift. There is CCTV camera on the level we stayed. Taxi driver had difficulty locating this hotel. Even with address given still unable to locate. Moreover this hotel is not shown on most map. We did stop to engage the locals for direction. After many twist and turns we found sign at one of the junction. Hotel is 2minutes walk to the main road. Along main road there are 7-11 and a lot of massage shop available,good rate too. Hotel do have internet service but need to pay. Tour desk is available and the medium size coffee house serve Thai mix English breakfast. Breakfast is good. Location is ideal for shopping. Abt 10-20 mins walk from all major shopping area. Concierge able to call taxi for us when we need to return airport. We have 3 taxis and was confirmed 400Bht per taxi. When we arrive airport 2 taxi charged us 400Bht and the last taxi charged 450Bht. Overall, is a decent hotel and we had a pleasant stay. If you do not expect 4-5 star service, this hotel can be recommended for you.

We stayed in PJ only for one...
We stayed in PJ only for one overnight.It was well worth the money we paid for. The room given to us was clean, including sheets and towels and the bathroom clean and surprise to see there is bath tub considering the price of the room. And the best value of all was the buffet breakfast that offered a good array of viands, desserts, drinks and breads. Good place and good food. Only the location is not easy to go to especially if it is your first time to Bangkok. From Chitlom, we had a long 20 min walk. while we enjoyed the walk passing by Centara, Big C and Pratunam, it was tiring because we had our baggage in tow. For budget traveller and those who likes value for money - PJ is the place to be. Prior to experiencing the place, I recommended it already to my friends and they were satisfied. Will I recommend still recommend it after seeing the actual? Absolutely!

Once again I had another great stay at the PJ, and highly recomend the PJ Watergate only a small hotel but very good value, and all the staff are very friendly.

The location of the hotel is not...
The location of the hotel is not easily discovered for first time visitors, but it is conveniently located near to Platinum Mall and the shopping malls of CentralWorld and Siam Paragon. Pratunam wholesale market is just at the main road of the hotel. MBK will be around 30 minutes walk from this hotel. This hotel is not near any BTS and the nearest available is at Siam Paragon.
Value for money for budget travellers like myself, especially when it comes with American Breakfast. They have quite a variety of food to choose from if you are not a fussy eater.

Poor location as even taxi drivers don't even know how to get there. Smelly room toilet with flies all around the bath tub. Lack of facilities ie. hair dryer, water dispenser.
