Second Stay

This was my second stay at the Majestic Grande, a quick two nighter to attend a wedding.
Arrived in my wife's car that was valet parked. A slight problem with my reservation (no record!) but the Reception sorted it out. This time we were on the 13th floor looking south down the expressway.
Excellent breakfast with very attentive staff.
The room TV is CRT type and the image quality (satellite selection) is not too good; in particular I could not set it up for auto-volume so switching between channels resulted in too loud or too quiet.
Bathroom are a little small so that the hinged door intrudes into the space; would benefit from a sliding door.
But, as I have said before, the staff throughout are smiling and attentive. The location is a short walk down Soi 2 off Sukhumvit and the nearest SkyTrain stop is Ploenchit so a good location in a major shopping, restaurant and nightlife area.

Majestic Grande

I picked this hotel for the location. It is convenient to get to and from by road approaching and leaving BKK from the east. The actual location a couple of hundred metres down Soi 2 Sukhumvit is reasonably well paved for a BKK street and makes an easy walk up to the main road (Sukhumvit) for local shopping and SkyTrain stations.
Our room on the 24th floor was a little small but very well appointed and nicely furnished with a corner desk with free Internet connection. The hotel throughout is well kept and furnished. Breakfast at the restaurant on the 7th floor had a much better selection of foods than some BKK hotels where I have stayed at twice the rate.
Everywhere the staff were smiling and helpful particularly the Concierge team. My car was valet parked on arrival and delivered to the front on departure.
As an expat living in Thailand (retired) I visit BKK three or four times a year and have stayed at a number of more expensive hotels that do not give me the same experience as the MG. Recommended.

Stay here fro your Bangkok trip.

Excellent breakfast included in room rate. Fresh fruit in the room.
Also, first class dinner buffet in Dine 7 restaurant, with good service. Wide selection of food. Good value for money.
Tour company operates on ground floor, and is recommended.
A good hotel just of the main street. Will stay there again.

Not he best by far

The staff whilst friendly enough, had a very poor level of English, especially when it came to house keeping. The air conditioning in our room was suck on 11 degrees c for the entire time we we there. No effort was made to fix the problem, even thou the " engineer" recognized the problem. This was my second vist to this hotel. It will be my last. It appeared that all other guests were of middle eastern origin. Maybe that's who owns the hotel?

Central location for bars - no invasive noise at night. Good quality hotel and weekend price was v good value for the quality standard of this hotel. Buffet dinner was also v good value.

Great Location

i have stayed in bangkok many times over the last few years and have always battled to find the ideal upmarket location hotel with great value. This time staying at the Majestic Grande i finally found the ideal hotel. Close to all amenities, shopping, eating, and nightlife without sacrifice. It is ideally situated in a quiet soi (road) yet so close to everything at the same time. I will make this my premium venue of choice on all future visits.

My stay at The Majestic Grande

This was the fifth time I have stayed here in the past 3 years. It still is as good as the first time I stayed there. I believe it is the staff at this hotel that make it so good . They are the most courteous, and attentive personnel you would wish to have, look after you.

majestic experience

I have stayed many times at the Majestic Grande and also when I only have a 1 or 2 night stay I stay at the Majestic Suites just around the corner.I have never been disappointed.Both offer excellent value for money,friendly polite and efficient staff.The breakfasts at the majestic Grande are also excellent.I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends---in fact i DID this trip as 4 friends were coming from England and they were going to book the Asia Hotel but I said that I preferred the Majestic Grande and so they also booked there and were as impressed as I have always been.So congratulations Majestic -you have another 5 satisfied customers.Thank you.
