First of all thanks to all those...
First of all thanks to all those who wrote comments here, as by reading the comments we use to chose the hotels. So it is pay-back time for us and therefore I will write a comprehensive comment. I and my wife stayed 3 nights in the beginning of Feb 2006 in the hotel. First about the booking with asiarooms. It was great and no problem at all. I have checked now and the invoice is ok as well. Finding the hotel is not so difficult. What is mentioned in the address is that you have to tell to the taxi driver to drive to Sukumvit road and the Soi 21 (or they call it Asoke road) is very well-known for every driver, evern if he start to dirve the taxi just in the aiport, he has to know about the Sukumvit road and Asoke road (soi 21) The hotel is just before the bridge over the water just before the new Petchburi road and be aware of the traffic in Bangkok. A clever taxi driver will chose to get off in the New Petchburi road, because the hotel is closer to the Petchburi road than Sukhumvit road. The problem might be the language as the taxi drivers do not speak English so well. But when you come out from the Airport arrivals. Leave the arrival terminal and just beside the street, where all the taxi cars with the sign (Taxi-Meter) are parked and waiting for passengers you see that there is good routines for taking the taxi. Do not talk to any taxi driver and just go to the table (outside the terminal, as the table with the sign Airport Taxi and Limousine Service inside the terminal is also providing service but more expensive), then you are outside the arrival terminal and get a reciept from the Taxi tables there you can talk English to the girls and tell them that you want to go to Sukumvit road and Askoe road. Even if the taxi driver might not kow about the hotel, but they are very good to find it. The cost for the taxi from Airport to the hotel is for our case (with a little traffic) 180 bath according to taxi meter, then you have to give the taxi driver 50 Bath for airport taxes, which he has payed, so we gave him total 250 bath (20 bath tips) and we chose to take the high way, which means that we payed the taxi driver first 20 bath and then 40 bath and he payed the taxes of the Highway to the controll gates. So the total cost of the taxi for us was 310 bath. Take the highway and skip the traffic it cost you only 20+40 bath. This was the transportation. At arrival we just show the voucher to the hotel and everything was fine. Only one small issue is that hotel reception wanted to get our credit card only for any possible future costs that might come up to the room (such as mini-bar or extra room service). Normally we do not use the credit card in asia if we do not get forced to do it, so I talked to the hotel reception and instead of using the credit card I left some money as deposit and this was great. So be aware of this, if you are very keen about your credit card, you can tell them that you do not have it and instead put an amount of money (we gave deposit with Chinese RMB as this was the only currency I had at the moment from our earlier visit to China). Ok, so this was about the booking and the reception. Room (we had a superior) was very nice and clean and the bathroom was very nice and clean, The hotel is new. The reception personal are very kind and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel and we recommend this. About the location, they say that is is very close to the sukumvit road, it depends on which scale you use. it take a normal walk of 15 minutes to the Sukumvit road, if you want to take the Sky-train, but if you take the metro instead, it is only 200 meters to the metro station. Taxi cost you 35 bath to drive for a wall, but the traffic is crazy, so recommendation is to use the metro or Sky-train during rush hours. We did not feel the location is an issue. The room was go good that is was ok. In general, we recomend the hotel and it was a pleasant stay.

Room is to small, bed is to small, if you walk around the bed, you risk injury of your leg because of the frame which is biger than matress, no closet, no table, only one chair located in fron of bathroom because there is not other place to put it. In my opinion this is single room for single budget traveler.

The Boutique is situated 2 minutes walk...
The Boutique is situated 2 minutes walk from the Underground train. The staff are welcoming and the first impression is one of simple opulance. However, the clean and well prepared rooms have too little storage space. The bed was the smallest double we have experienced in Thailand. There was no bath in the Superior Double and to be fair, one wasn't indicated in the description. Breakfast was meagre and certainly not American breakfast. Eggs appeared to be rationed. Although I would not stay again, a single business man seeking quiet relaxation may find this Hotel ideal. For couples, I would advise no more than a 1 night stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Bangkok...
My boyfriend and I stayed at Bangkok Boutique Hotel for 2 nights in Feb.It's only 3 minutes walk from the subway Petchaburi station. The staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are stylish and clean, but somewhat small. Besies the room is not sound proof , we kept hearing noises like shower, flushing toilets , trailing the baggage ect. from next door or upstairs.

The room size was too small, the breakfast have only very few choices, and the taxi drivers don't know the location always. But the room was clean enough, and the shower have very strong water supply, overall it's suit for budget travellers.

Location is good, very accesible to the MRT, but the traffic (if you take a cab) can be quite bad at times. Breakfast is horrible and miserable. They should reallyimprove on the breakfast. Service is good though. Hotel staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Rooms and toilet are clean, you don't see hairballs around. Walkway to rooms can get pretty hot (both in the day and night), as it is not air conditioned... Its a small but cosy hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples on a budget.

My friend and I went to Bangkok...
My friend and I went to Bangkok for a shopping spree in January 2006. We booked the Bangkok Boutique Hotel through AsiaRoom.com. We were fortunate to get some reviews from the travellers who stayed at this hotel. Thank you to all those who gave reviews on this hotel. We booked directly from the hotel a two-way airport transfer which cost Baht 1200 and had no problem in reaching the hotel from the airport. It is indeed true that it is not easy to find the hotel if you are a first-time traveller to Bangkok. The hotel, being a year old, is very new and clean. The hotel's decor is trendy and will appeal to the young travellers. As there is no elevator, it will be difficult for senior citizens to get to their rooms if they are not able to climb to the 2nd or 3rd floor of the hotel. Breakfast is nothing to shout about, which is commensurate with the room rate you paid for. So please have basic expectation and you will be pleased with what you get for breakfast. The service staff is fantastic, in particular, one Mr Torsak actually took the trouble to walk us from the hotel to the river taxi stand (which is a short 2-min walk) to take a river taxi. We were most pleased with his service. As for transport, you just take a 3-min walk to Petchaburi MRT Station and with a fare of Baht 12 you will connect to Asok SkyTrain Station. From Asok Station, you will be spoilt for choice for destinations in Bangkok City. In short, the location of Bangkok Boutique Hotel is ideal. Taxi are abundant but beware. Only those in the Taxi Queue and with meters running can be trusted. Crooks are abundant too. We actually met one who claimed that he had friends from my home country and lied to us about the opening hours of Mah Boon Khrong and tried to lure us to some Local Produce Shops of Thailand. And while talking to us, I caught sight of another guy standing nearby eyeing our bags. We were smart enough to get out of his sight as soon as we could. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Bangkok Boutique Hotel. It is definitely worth another visit. Cheerio
