Firstly, the hotel may not be easily located. Best is to mentioned to the taxi driver that it is along Asoke Road but nearer to the New Petchaburi Road rather than Sukhumvit Road. Other landmarks, 150 meter away from Petchaburi (Underground) Train Station and Japan Embassy.
I recommend the superior room as it is bigger and more comfortable than the standard room. The price difference is not that much. The hotel has modern decor, clean and comfortable. The staffs are friendly. It is also low density, only a couple of storey high - that mean not too many people.
The hotel is near the underground station, you wouldn't want to walk in the heat and air pollution or take the taxi in Bangkok notorious traffic jam. You will waste a lot of time in the jam and by the time you get to your destination, you will exhausted from the heat and pollution. With the train you can easily get around easily and fast - easy access to Sukhumvit Road and to Chatuchak weekend market. Anyway, the hotel staffs are very helpful, they will advise you on the best mode of transport to get you to your destination. It is also near the river taxi stop (100 meter) if you are adventurous enough to try it.
However, a couple of things I would to suggest the hotel to improve on - breakfast (not enough choices and not good at all), guests should be given a complimentary local english newspaper, movie or news TV channel - it helps-guests may like to know news back in their home country.
