This is a delightful hotel I stay at each time I visit Bangkok. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are comfortable, and very affordable. They are not luxurious by any means, but sufficiently appointed with toiletries and stocked minibar. All very satisfactory.
Sawasdee may be most attractive to budget travelers. The location is ideal for visitors, close to the intersection of Soi Sukhumvit and Soi Thong Lor. The walk to the BTS sky train is 5 minutes, a little less if you walk through the adjacent parking lot. Anyone taking longer, must not really know the way. And, in addition to the adventure of Sukhumvit (Eco or otherwise), Thong Lor offers numerous dining and shopping choices within walking distance, including the tourist & locally filled Witch's Tavern.
Oh, and the inclusive breakfast is quite nice, and includes a choice of Asian or Western dishes, with fruit and coffee.
