After reading the other reviews about Ibis Siam and staying there personally, I must say that my wife and I were not disappointed by it at all.
The staff were friendly and helpful. On the first day, the shower water was not hot and they promptly rectified the problem when we informed them about it.
We stayed in the superior room and it's spacious and clean. The bathroom was a little cramped though. We had dinner at the hotel for 2 days because the food portions is good and the prices reasonable. Breakfast was decent but they don't really change the variety so be prepared to eat almost the same kind of food for whatever number of days you will be staying.
The massage services at the nearby spa was fantastic and the service was excellent! Highly recommended! The name is Lift Modern Beauty and Spa and it's just down the road, near to T Seafood restaurant.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely be staying there again on our next visit. Thanks Ibis Siam for making our trip a memorable one.

This is probably the best value for money hotel I've ever stayed in. Very nice, cozy hotel. Great service, especially the front desk staff. They were excellent; it helped that they speak English relatively well and were prompt in responding to our requests. They even helped us orientate ourselves around the hotel area, advising us on how we could get to the places we want to go to.
Unless you are willing to cab, the only public transportation there are buses (the bus stop is just infront of the hotel entrance). Traffic is often heavy all day round.
Despite the heavy traffic, the hotel surroundings are quiet and peaceful. It is rather new, and rooms are fitted with all the basic hotel amenities you would need to make your stay comfortable (eg. standing shower, toiletries, hot water, kettle, mineral water for drinking, coffee and tea, etc).

Stayed here again in Dec 9-13, took 2 rooms for our party of 6 (3 adults & 3 kids). My friend & kids were very happy with the hotel, first time for them to stay at Ibis Siam Bangkok. The kids simply enjoyed the stay, clean rooms & of course, the morning buffet breakfast. Choice of having breakfast downstairs at the restaurant or at level 2, both places are also cosy, friendly atmosphere. After 4 nights, we still did not get sick of the choice, infact they served very good noodles & pastries. The kids were helping themselves to the breakfast selection every morning. Bus stop in front of hotel is plus point, so convenient, to Big C, Central World, Siam Paragon, MBK. Infact we took buses most of the time when we went out & after a long day out, took taxi back to hotel. Taxi Airport/Hotel = Bt 178 + toll Bt 25, under 20 minutes. For price we pay, hotel sure offers value for money.

I had a very comfortable stay for two weeks in December 2006. While the hotel is no-frills, the staff were courteous, all the basics were well-taken care of, and the breakfast was fine. This hotel was definitely good value.

A good place to stay budgetly if one don't mind the hassle of 10 to 15 mins stroll from Victory Monument BTS station. The staff is helpful & cheerful.
However, the daily breakfast menu can further improve with more variety.

It has been a pleasant stay, a pity would be that IBIS SIAM Bangkok is not equipped with a bathtub. Comparatively, you pay slightly more and you can have a hotel stay with a bathtub at century park hotel which is in a better location and a better landmark. It would be a plus if IBIS SIAM can include a half day complimentary tour because if i were to get accomodation at IBIS siam back at singapore, i would get it at the same rate plus a half day complimentary tour.

The service is great. However, the location of the hotel is still unknown to many taxi-drivers. The taxi-drivers could not the location of the hotel on two occasions.
The food at the hotel could be improved. The beds are are very comfortable. I will recommend this place to families to stay.

I would like to stay at Ibis Siam again when I come to Bangkok, because the location in Pratunam and near from many shopping mall that sell so many cheap fashion and gift.I think this place is very very good for business and also for budget travelers because the price is low but the room overall is very nice. I just want comments about food especially for muslim people because so many food with pork and I suppose muslim 'halal'food is avalaible in the future.If Ibis Siam can do that, I think so many people from Indonesia would stay with family and friend...

Ibis Siam is good for budget travelers....
Ibis Siam is good for budget travelers. The services are very good. But the rating of the bathroom is a little bit low since the hot/cold water supply is unstable sometimes. Overall, it is a good hotel and I'll stay at Ibis Siam again.
