The Unico Grande Sathorn is a really nice, clean, friendly hotel. We arrived early so were given a gorgeous suite until our room was ready. Our deluxe room was ideal but the suites are fantastic. The only reason I would not stay again as a young traveller I wanted to be more central and close to Koh San Road but we were half an hour away by taxi.
Overall recommend a visit.

I stayed there for just one night and wish it was longer.
From the moment you arrive you know the stay will be good. The staff are great and speak good English.
I paid a little extra for the upgrade and just loved the room. Quality fittings, big tv with sat, dvd player and stereo. Nice sofa, great bed, balcony and best of all for me, free fast internet! I have no idea why they don't advertise that fact.
Only a 2- 3 min walk to Silom or to the bts chong nonsi.

The hotel is nicely located in a quiet area though it is very close to Silom Rd. It is very convenient having the Sky-train just around the corner.
The bathroom was not very big though and the bathtub was leaking though it is a very new hotel. The shower was either steaming hot or freezing cold.
But all together we got good value for our money.

We are frequent visitors to Thailand and of course always enter and exit via Bangkok.
We have stayed in some quite expensive Bangkok hotels and have gone budget if we were planning on going upmarket down the Islands.
We have now established business connections in the city and will be using the hotel in future visits primarily because of location, staff service, cost and overall value for money.

I have stay in Unico Grande Sathorn on March 24-29,2007. I am satisfied with the hotel service. The staffs are very nice and friendly compare with other hotels I stayed before in Bangkok before. I believe customer service and friendliness is the best thing which can makes a customer feel comfortable and happy on staying.
The facilities is good especially can provide free internet service at the lobby and in the room.This is important when you need to stay in touch with friends or business. The thing which have little lack is the room windows curtain. I think the curtain is too thin which at daytime when sunlight beams in the room which can wake me up and at night it can even see though inside the room clearly outside the street. The bathroom water pressure is low in washing basin and also hot water is not enough.
Overall for others I am satisfied. I will consider to stay again in this hotel when I will visit Bangkok again. Thanks

First of all the Avenue restaurant service; Menu, personal staff and bar are quite slow and not attend of invite my business guess for appointment at Unico hotel, secondly staffs not good in English. The rest is fine.Fat chance to come back.
