location is prefect & good for budget...
location is prefect & good for budget traveller. No demand on hotel facility & quality. Wall quite old but bed still clean. Washroom old but clean. need to bring all personal cares : towel, toothbrush, hair dryer, slipper, etc ... Overall, worth for this value.

Toilet's door was damaged and the flushing system was down. The 2 advantages are good location and friendly staff. The staffs there recognises you and are very warm.

Location is perfect as it less than 10 minutes walk to the Skytrain station and 5 minutes walk to the Pratunam market in the other direction. Problem is most taxi drivers do not know the place so be sure to bring the hotel's calling card along. Ask for a newly renovated room as the old rooms are quite rundown. Pity they did not change all the furniture in the newly renovated rooms but if you are just looking for a place to sleep this hotel is more than sufficient.

Service is fine. Enjoy the internet facilities in The Residence. Just hope that the walls in the room can be re-painted as the stain is bothering me. Other than that everything is fine. Feels homely living in The Residence.

The stay was perfert! The service provided was superb. Esp Mr Boonlert (bellboy), Mr Charnchai (waiter) and one of the waitress in the restaurant.
(the lady counter-staffs are reluntant to help most of the time. showing no interest when guest arrival.)
The ambience was so relaxing that we chose to stay in the hotel most of the time.
Room is clean, i think there's improvement aft some visitors' complaints which i read here. the bar is the pl to relax. and their food is wonderful! we put in lotsa money in the pool table though. :)
However, do apply more layers of insect repellant. the hugh flower pot there is the breeding ground for Mosquitoes. Yucks!
Very cheap hotel with buffet style breakfast. near to skytrain station and easy access to many places of interest.
Will definitely go again just to stay in that hotel. Oh, and did i say you can get to watch many latest hollywood blockbusters movie in the room?

Is good for budget traveller but not...
Is good for budget traveller but not good for first-timer to bangkok as most taxi drivers does not know the hotel.
Bed is very soft and old. Cleaniness wise will be ok if you are not too fussy.
Breakfast is ok, standard American breakfast buffet style.
No cable TV and only 1 hair which have to loan from frontdesk

Its a very basic budget hotel but a very good location.

The address and and name of the the hotel should also have written in Thai language coz some taxi driver dosen't understand English. I was charge an extra pay for the mineral water (according to the hotel guest will have 2 bottle of water for free everyday) coz they didn't specify that the empty bottle should be back to the place you got (everyone will put in the the rubbish bin once consumed).

Many taxis were not sure of the location, a bit hard to find though. Buffet Breakfast can add a bit more varieties (eating the same food on 2 days but overall still satisfactory). Water heater was too hot, no matter how I tried to adjust. Would recommend if you people are looking for budget hotel and not willing to spend too much, The Residence is what you are looking for.
