Nice hotel, very nice design, friendly stuff. room 602 and 701, close to the main road, a bit noisy, but ok. AC pointed to the bed, not good, catched cold, used towel and worked fine for us. Breakfast, typical english/ asian style, beans and nuddles, etc., but overall ok.
Skytrain in 2-3min walking distance.
Good
It gave a warm feeling when you first step into the hotel. Well… my feel was it felt more like an apartment rather than a hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well lighted!
Bathroom were huge and am please with the bath-tub as it‘s really useful after long, tired shopping day :)!!
Because it’s not a high rise and it’s near to the main road as well as side road, it tends to be nosy. You also can hear the TV and people talking coming from the next door.
Nice food and massage place can be found within the vicinity. One of the it will be ‘Cabbage and Condom’ that serves nice thai food (and it’s a very tourist place). As for massage, try Lavana. Massage menu comes with Traditional Thai or Aroma massage, both were pretty good! :)
Well... just want to conclude by sharing with all.
I LOVE THAILAND.
A Great hotel in a great location. A few blocks from either the Skytrain or Metro results in you avoiding Bangkok's gridlock most of the time. I would definitely(and previously have) stay here again especially with the great deal you get booking through Asia Rooms.
Hotel was OK but for about S$100 a night, I was expecting a bit more.
I used to stay at BKK Boutique and that cost about $20-30 less and the experience was more or less the same. Huge bathroom though and the room size was bigger than average. But the noise from outside (I was staying on the fourth floor) can get a bit annoying. Also the bathroom room wasn't very clean and I spotted the same stains uncleaned for the entire duration of my stay. Breakfast was nothing to shout about and I skipped it from the second morning onwards.
But S15 does have a merit and that's its location. The BTS was around the corner (at the BKK Boutique, you have to switch trains which is a hassle) and there's a bit of street shopping surrounding the hotel.
If S15 lowered its price, I might reconsider staying there again.
S15 is excellent value for money and you can't beat it's loacation. The decor is contemporary, it is exceptionally clean, the breakfast area is very comfortable and the staff are attentive and helpful.
My recommendations would be to get rid of the foam rubber pillows, enhance the lighting in the bathroom so you can shave properly and even though there is a rain shower in a spacious stall the water runs under the door and out into the counter area. This needs to be remedied.
