The hotel is great with nice room...
The hotel is great with nice room & clean bathroom. The breakfast provided is just nice for me & my wife. Different dishes is cook in small protion in buffet style with the regular fried rice, egg, ham, sauages & potatoes. The staff is great always with a smile, but best of all is the cart driver. Always helpful & dress neatly in long sleeves. The hotel is just a little to inside the lane but if your leg is willing after a long shopping spree. A walk will let you see the restaurant & pub along it,ideal for dinning & some drink to relax. But if to tired just make a call (cost 1 bath) from the 7/11 store located just below the station. In not more than 3 mins, you'll see a yellow golf cart coming from the lane to pick you up with a smile. I recommend the pizza restaurant directly opp the 7/11 store. Great pizza and nice atmosphere, value for money if you dine in on tues & wed. Will come back again.

Having started our stay in Thailand at...
Having started our stay in Thailand at the Salil and needing one night acconmodation at the end of our stay, we did not hesitate in re-booking for our final night. The staff are unfailingly helpful, we were upgraded to a superior room simply because we returned and this was without us asking for an upgrade. The cafe is bright and clean and the food is very good. There is a golf cart service to the end of the road which is immediately unnderneath the Nana skytrain station. There are masses of bars and shops within a golf cart/easy walk away. What can I say, if Asiarooms would like us to go back and do an on the spot review, we would be on the next plane. I hope anyone reading this review, has a super holiday and a stay at the Salil as good as ours was.

Since I last stayed here the rooms are looking a little down, grey towels, bathrooms a little tired. Staff still very pleasant and helpfull, still a good breakfast but forget a lie-in if you want breakfast, it stops at 10. You can get the same value for less money.

This place was horrible. They overcharged...
This place was horrible. They overcharged us for a ride from the airport. It was 1,000 Baht for the ride. They recommended a horrible guide (husband of the airport driver) to give as a tour. He took us all the way to the floating market that we did not have in mind. There is one right in Bangkok and that is the better one. On the way to the floating market, he took us to his brother's coffee shop at a gas station. We had to pay for our own coffee and wait for Tan to finsih chating with his brother. I am sure he was telling his brother how much money he was sucking out of us that day. We went to the Floating Market and charged as $1500 baht per person. They said they normally charged 2000 Baht per person. They treated us like idiots. Then after it was done, we asked Tan what was next. He gave us the itinerary the night before over the phone. After asking him what was next, he acted like he had no idea what we were talking about. He tried to take us to some monkey place where they were about to overcharge us too. We demanded he take us back to the hotel and the whole way Tan tried to justify this trip. We didn't pay him. Oh, his fat face was just belching the entire time we were with him. He is a creep and so is his wife. WE were very sad to be taken advantage.

This was my 2nd stay at Salil, I will be staying there again in the future to make it a 3rd or 4th! It's very comfortable and feels like home. The air-conditioning is great and very clean rooms, food and facilities make it an enjoyable stay. I highly recomend Salil Hotel to people that don't fancy the high rise horror hotels with hundreds of rooms. Salil Hotel is my home away from home. Cheers and happy travels!
