Just stayed for 2 nights. Cheap (1200 bht) but nice Hotel, is well situated (near Oriental) near the river, very convenient for boat taxis. Located on a quiet soi so perfect for night but need to take taxis to find restaurants and bars cause the hotel is surrounded by jewelry shops ! Good restaurant, cheap and tasty (like the green curry). Breakfast is poor... Rooms are not big, but clean. Could improve tv cause only 9 channels available (3 in english....). The swimming pool is little but clean. Internet access for 60 BHT/h.

Good Hotel, nice location. Reception were friendly and helpful room was oké, but it was unfortunately that the water of the swimming pool was very cold, not nice to swim in. When they make the water warmer it should be a pleasant stay in Swanhotel. Nanny Ulaski, Amsterdam, Netherlands

The hotel was clean and the staff were kind. They need to put more services like money changing and a simple map of what's around/near the hotel. Also information on how to reach the BTS and the ferries. All in all we had a nice time here. I would recommend this for budget travelers and backpackers.

The Swan is a very simple budget...
The Swan is a very simple budget hotel which has somehow (thankfully) remained undiscovered. The unbeatable location close to the river boat station as well as the relative short walk to the Skytrain station, makes this a good choice for exploring all parts of Bangkok. The mostly young staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms and the public areas are kept very clean. The restaurant serves tasty Thai food and is reasonably priced. We have stayed at the hotel a number of times and the hotel management constantly makes improvements to the hotel, especially the area around the pool. There are 24 hour 711 shops on the way to the Skytrain station where water, drinks and snack foods may be purchased. Across the street from the hotel a Thai family sets up a stall each day where soft drinks, beer and local spirits may be purchased for little more than the shop price. Taxis are relatively easy a to find at the main thoroughfare which is about 50 meters from the hotel. This hotel is suitable for those who would like a safe, clean and well located place to stay in Bangkok at an affordable price.

Overall excellent value considering the room rate....
Overall excellent value considering the room rate. The staff was friendly and the room was nice, with a balcony facing the hotel pool. The shower took ages until the water was warm though, which didn't bother me much, and the tabletops were slightly dusty, but overall the room was very clean and I really felt at home there. The BTS station is situated about ten minutes from the hotel, so getting around was very easy as well. The State Tower with the phantastic view from the bar at the top is just around the corner, as is the very nice Tongue Thai restaurant. I would stay there again anytime!

A very cozy hotel locates next to State tower river side, friendly service but the hot water only runs from 5 to 10! what about the rest of the time there?! BKK is not a place full of cool breeze!
