BU Place was chosen by my Thai...
BU Place was chosen by my Thai friend because it is close to her (shared) apartment. As such, it was great. The staff was impeccably kind, friendly and helpful, to me and my friend, although the day manager was head and shoulders above the rest in knowledge and English. The hotel is removed from tourist areas, in the middle of a Bangkok neighborhood, with lots of street food and shops. Close to Carrefour and Tesco, but Taxi needed. About two miles north of Asoke BTS/MRT, a brutal taxi ride during peak hours. A fine hotel, but location is problematic.
