I had expected more from this hotel - it is already quite run down.
During nights it is quite noisy.
Pool closes already at 7 p.m.

I always stay at the Buddy Lodge when I am in Bangkok. Situated on the infamous Khao San Road, it is right in the heart of the action, with everything required right on your doorstep. The pull-factor is definitely the roof top pool, where you can easily forget that you are in the middle of such a huge, manic city,
There is no bar food which is a shame, however, you are only ever 2 minutes from a plethora of food choices outside the hotel, plus many, many excellent massage establishments and 80baht in a cab to MBK. Failing that, again, the Khao San road has plenty of stalls selling clothing, jewellrey, dvds and so forth, and several loud bars!
The staff at the Buddy Lodge are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are of a good standard and size.
I will defintiely be returning again next year :o)

Booking through AsiaRooms was very straightforward. The hotel had all our details and let us check in early (at 8am). No issues or arguments with the price as booked through AsiaRooms. Very comfortable hotel in the heart of the action in Bangkok! Good Value!
a touch of luxury on Khao Sarn Road
I stayed at Buddy Lodge many times and will be coming back. Its still a nice retreat from chaotic Khao Sarn Road. location, rooms and pool are good - although it starts to show its age.

It is still good, but a bit of refreshing will help to increase the rate.

Ideally situated for getting around, as this was what we needed we were very happy with the location. This hotel would not suit anyone looking for a peaceful break.A great advantage having a pool on the roof, also a pool bar serving food and drinks. The food was more expensive from the bar than you would pay in the street but it was brought up from a bar down stairs. The rooms were ideal, clean and tidy, air con, tv , safe ,etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to staff and one that we would use again!!
