This hotel was okay. The front...
This hotel was okay. The front desk service was friendly enough, but the lack of a fluent English speaker was at time a little annoying/frustrating. I liked the free hotel tuk tuk service which can take you to close by transport (skytrain) and restaurants. Be sure to tip the friendly tuk tuk drivers/bell boys.
The rooftop is definitely worth a look, huge swimming pool (just not very deep), but it is refreshing and the 360 degree views are quite impressive. There's a small gym and sauna there too.
On the day of check out the reception allowed us to leave our bags in a secure room until our flight at 9pm. They also allowed us to use the rooftop pool and showers throughout the day (early afternoon before our flight).
The rooms themselves were quite nice. Huge beds, decent balcony, TV, kitchen with large fridge, topped up with complimentary bottled water daily. The cleanliness was alright, however the bathrooms had a faint funny drainage smell. Not sure if this is just a Bangkok thing or just poor drainage for that building...?
Daily servicing with beds being made and fresh towels.
Location wasn't too bad considering the size of Bangkok. With the free tuk tuk service it is quite convenient to get to the Skytrain and taxi's are dirt cheap. Generally 50-100 Baht ($3 AUD) max. You could probably even get a tuk tuk even cheaper than that. The skytain is probably the more expensive option, being 20-40 Baht per person ($1.20 AUD). For the convenience of a taxi, get a taxi most times (except peak time, as you'll be sitting in traffic for a while) and make sure you get the driver to use the meter.
If I went back to Bangkok, I would consider staying at this hotel again. Although a little closer to Silom would have been a little more convenient.
