Best location in BKK
Great hotel in BKK very close to shopping. The hotel food is marvelous with great service. Rooms are a bit small for a family.
Novotel Ploenchit Premier Room
Our stay at Novotel Ploenchit was great. Booked the premier room & manage to have our room just below the lounge. Love the lounge too. The only cons was no bath tub even in premier executive room. It would be perfect if there is a bath tub ! The hotel was just beside BTS which made travelling easy for us too. I will definately go back to this hotel the next time.
Hotel is quiet but we were on the 17 floor (can sleep peacefully despite being located very near to BTS). The modern (led lightning all over the public areas can become too much after a while). You need to focus after coming in from the strong bright daylight. In particular at the lift lobby with the reflective panels - can get quite groggy.
We only had the buffet breakfast (very limited choices for the price charged).
Informed reception on the way out that the water did not drain quickly from the sink and it was fixed upon our return a short while later. Very impressed.
Left a note for housekeeping (room very well cleaned) to request for a two "hard pillows" - not sure if they did change them for us (because it felt the same). Pillows were too soft and not comfortable (because we are used to hard pillows). Not the hotel's fault though...
Lift needs room keys to activate so security is pretty good.
Did not have chance to try out the pool or gym but they look pretty clean and ok. Maybe next time.

It's a business hotel
This time I was on a business trip which this hotel is for for. But I wouldn't stay here with my family.
Great Hotel
This hotel is convenient, with BTS located just outside the hotel. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable....they know when is the nearest money changer and what time they close! There's a massage/spa joint nearby and offers fantastic massages...hotel can provide name and location as well. Would certainly visit this hotel again!
Good location
Hotel is besise the BTS, nearby have supermaket, restaurant, fast-food..etc. Room is clean and nice, although no bath tub. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good place to stay.
This hotel is situated right smack on a fantastic location with the train station just outside. Considering the traffic situation in Bangkok, this location is a big deal because traveling cannot be easier. One is also spoilt for choice where food is concern.
The hotel itself is modern and neat. The service is exceptional and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to your clients.

Do yourself a favour and pay the extra amount to include access to the Premier Lounge.
I always end my holidays with the last couple of nights in what I deem to be an expensive hotel, for this trip I chose the Novotel Fenix Ploenchit and was so happy I did.
The hotel and rooms are very modern, clean and comfortable. I really found the beds comfortable with nice big doonas, and a choice of seven different pillows depending on your needs.
The Premier Lounge is located on the top floor, so has a large roof top balcony. There's Mac computers with internet access, a concierge desk. Plus between 5pm and 7pm drinks(alcoholic and non-alcoholic ) and food are served buffet style free of charge. Now I've been to hotels with this service before but the quality was never as good as this Novotel. In the mornings the Premier Lounge also provides the same buffet breakfast as down stairs but is just more comfortable due to the much smaller numbers of people, plus it's great sitting out on the balcony.
