Hotel location is quite unknown to locals; walked for hrs trying to find it when I got lost in town. But it's actually quite near the Makkasan airport station. There should be walking directions for first time guests, but there weren't so we got conned by the taxis waiting outside the station for simply taking us around the corner.
Not sure why hotel is so busy on a Monday that they don't allow late check out.

Very basic & unstable wifi service
Was attracted by the photos shown in AsiaRooms.com, but ended up disappointing with the actual appearance. And the wifi was not stable, though it is connected, but unable to access to internet sometimes.
Great location short walk from the airport train 10 mins max and nearest station 5 mins away. Big clean room. Bathroom good...clean. Flat screen TV and hairdryer

Visit to Bangkok
The hotel is very accessible from the airport via the City line. Tickets cost 35bahts each. The road to hotel is very busy, but distance is not great, be careful. Access to MRT is close. Use it to go to the BTS Skyrail transit station at Osako hotel from where you can access most of Bangkok in air-conditioned comfort. One downside with FX Makkasan. Not many places to eat close by.
hotel is near to Makkasan station but its actually quite hard to find and there's very little around and no signposts so get good directions before you get to Bangkok as it defeats the object of staying close to it if you are wandering around with bags. Also, take good directions out with you and the roadways around it are one way and taxis have trouble getting you there - use the MRT (underground) which is close by. Room was basic but ideal for what I wanted it for, which is as an overnight stopover hotel (apart from a huge billboard outside the window meant the room had very little natural light in the room)

me and my sister absolutely satisfied with the service not only because the discount of their room..the room is clean with simple modern furniture, the location is near the MRT and airport link, 5 minutes with taxi to Pratuman shopping mall.. it has an easy access to every place..eventhough a little bit hard to find the hotel without map..my advise is to print the map before you go to the hotel..

Experience at FX Hotel Makkasan
I stayed at this hotel due to its highly convenient location - about 15 mins walk from Makkasan Air Rail Link station & about 5 mins walk from Phetchaburi MRT station. It is suitable for those on a tight budget as its tariff rates for std rooms are among the lowest in Bangkok. All the rooms are non-smoking ones & kept spotlessly clean.
