Excellent stay in Bangkok
Unlike any hotel I have been Sivatel is a very modern and technological advance hotel. I enjoy using the facilities. The IPTV in the room was fantastic. There was no need to use my notebook despite having free WiFi everywhere in the hotel. The IPTV allows me to get connected to the Internet. Everything can be done through the IPTV. The room is spacious and the place is kept clean. The environment around the hotel is quiet and nice. There was no street pedlars if you expect any. Its very different from sukhumvit road, probably its in between the British and Swiss embassies. The hotel is also very convenient as 5 mins walk from the hotel is the Phloen Chit BTS. And a 10 mins walk away is the Chidlom Central. So its located in a good position. The service is great and the restaurant near to the lobby though not many guest patronise serves very reasonable prices and nice dishes. Its ok to try. I would highly recommend staying

service apartment hotel
This hotel also rents out rooms long term as service apartments, so if you get one of the larger rooms you're basically staying in a service apartment. My room was very large, clean, and comfortable. Eighth floor swimming pool is very nice - there is a wonderful breeze, so it is comfortable to lounge around the pool in the morning. Breakfast buffet is fine, and the breakfast room is sunny and welcoming.
Location is excellent, in the middle of town. The hotel is just around the corner from a central sky train station on a major street. You can walk to restaurants and shopping, or take the train.
The only problem is that the hotel is new, so cab drivers hadn't heard of it when I visited. It took awhile for my taxi to find it.

Excellent
This is one of the best five star boutique hotels I have been to. It's has a personal feel to it, unlike the huge, chain hotels.
