Expect the best
Amari Watergate is within walking distance of the most variety of shopping and eating choices one could ask for. The best tourist attractions are only a short, inexpensive (100-200 baht) taxi ride away. It has earned 5 Stars for a reason; everything is clean, well maintained, works properly and the guests are treated like royalty. From the little girl who opens the front doors, to the housekeeping staff, to the hotel management, everyone treats you like family.
I live in Thailand, and earn a Thai salary, so it is very expensive for me, but worth every satang in cost. For foreigners coming to Bangkok, not expensive, and will unquestionably exceed your expectations.

good hotel
good hotel. good service. good breakfast and pleasant pool. while not the most exclusive type of hotel it is excellent value for money and in a great location. fully recommend.
Very bad that you have pay a lot of money for using internet. The aeria outside of the hotel is good for shopping bud bad for find bars and entertainment.

Excellent location opposite Platinum Fashion Mall! Near to my fav massage parlour M@B too! Nice view & comfortable bed.. The only grouse I have is the need to climb the row of steps uphill to reach the hotel. All in all.. Would stay there again at the right price!

Overall it was a pleasant stay. I'd have to say that the best thing was probably location. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded from deluxe to grand deluxe for free as staff misquoted us for the upgrade and breakfast so she upgraded for no charge. However, a friend stayed in a deluxe room and there was no difference between deluxe and grand deluxe room apart from the level. Why would u pay more just for height? I wouldn't.
Staff were nice but what 5 star hotel won't be? Lobby far out shines the rooms. For a 5 star hotel I expected more for how the room looked. No free wifi in rooms was inconvenient. Free wifi in lobby but limited to 2hrs daily. I would stay here again but it wouldn't be my first choice as I don't think it's worth it's price.

Loved It !!
Everything was wonderful, the room, the staff, the pool and the facilities. The staff were especially friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.
