Added extras soon add up
The hotel is not in a great area of Bangkok, no restaurants, bars, sights etc so you will need to get taxi/tuk tuk to get to anything interesting. The hotel's entrance is the most impressive part but the rooms are pretty basic.
This is the only hotel I've stayed in Thailand that charged for wi-fi use (1,500 baht for a week - about £30 at time of review) and the wi-fi was terrible. I had to sit on the floor next to the room door to have uninterrupted usage. There was also a charge for using a printer on the ground floor. And if you want tea or coffee in your room, pay for that as well.
All these charges added up to more than the cost of a night' stay here which really annoyed me. I would have expected much more from a 4 star hotel. The food as well was only OK. Street food is better to be honest. The pool was the best thing about this hotel but I'm not sure you will spend much time there as there is so much to see and do in Bangkok,

Good Location
Well arrived late and staff was friendly did have a little trouble finding all information at first. I was very disappointed thought that I read somewhere that free wifi in lobby but there is nothing free. I would have to say that was a big problem for me since I could have gone somewhere for less and received free wifi even if it was in the lobby. I believe in this day and age this service is something should be provided free. I would go back but without free internet would have to really think about it since I could have stayed other places for just a little more money and had in room free wifi for less than paying for internet at hotel so if you need internet would not recommend hotel if you don't then good hotel for the money. I also asked for non smoking rooms and that we had 4 rooms and 2 beds in room as we were coworkers and lucky we did have one single cause one room had only 1 bed. The room with 1 bed was for 1guy 1girl who were not a couple and would not work a little frustrating when you checkin and cannot get rooms moved together and then being in a room that is a smoking room with allergies and asthma is not a great thing. I would stay again though it was nice just sucks you have to pay for internet when I could have stayed else where for slightly more a night with internet and actually paid less.

One of my worst experiences in Bangkok!
The Twin Towers Hotel is old and located in the outskirts of Bangkok CBD so you'll need transport (Tuktuk) to enjoy the city. Add to that a sub-mediocre restaurant and lack of any other entrainment & gastronomic options, and the value for money from this hotel is drastically reduced. Although the foyer is well renovated, the rooms lack the same attention to details and have old and disappointed amenities, including in the more expensive ones (we stayed at the executive suites).
The staff was particularly rude as during check-out time they charged us for alleged usage of the mini bar, something we didn't do. This represents the highest break of trust as you are supposed to trust the hotel staff that have full access to your room.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay in this hotel - for the same amount of money there many more attractive options in this lovely city.

2 star room in a 4 star hotel
I was surprised that neither tea or coffee was in the room. There was a boiler but nothing to use for it. When I told the staff they said it was only tea & coffee in more upgraded rooms. BUT I did not ask for a 2 star room in a 4 star hotel! The same when it came to slippers, robes and kimonos ! I have stayed in other hotels and was always served with such outfits. Still we liked the hotel and the nuice staff!

Stayed twice in the last month.
I have stayed at The Twin Towers hotel about 5 or 6 times with the last two stays occurring in the last month. It is a ten minute walk (brisk) to the nearest BTS Station and about 15 minutes to MBK. The rooms have always been clean and tidy and I think they represent great value for money. Hot water pressure is good and the air conditioning works well.
I read here where people say that the Hotel taxi is expensive, durr, all hotel taxis are expensive.!! About 1000 baht to the airport and a metered taxi from the street (there are plenty around) is about 350 baht.
This hotel seems to mainly cater for Vietnamese and Chinese tour groups and this is reflected in the buffet breakfast. I would rate the breakfast a 5/10. At first it looks impressive but when you get down to the nitty gritty its just average.
Overall I still think this hotel is great value for money and yes I would stay here again.

We enjoyed the huge spacious rooms. Nothing spectacular about the hotel but value for money considering one is in the centre of a large city.
