I had a very pleasant stay at...
I had a very pleasant stay at the Veranda, indeed I was very surprised when I arrived at the property because it was much nicer than what I had anticipated.
The downside:
1. airconditioning in the room was noisy. It took me 2 nights to get used to the sound of the humming.
2. front desk staff were not very well trained. It took more than 1/2 for them to send a technician to the room to check up what was wrong with the main poer switch. In fact there was nothing wrong. The front desk simply could not explain in english how to slot the key card in.
3. the local staff had poor comprehension of English. They really need to improve to be in keeping with the image and position of the hotel.
4. the taps in the hand wash basin leaked water onto the flloor below. It was not fixed for the 3 nights that I stayed at the hotel although I brought it up to the managment's attention.
Breakfast on the deck was a wonderful experience each morning. I really appreciated the freshly cooked eggs section. I aslo like the selection of Than bath products in the bathroom.
I would continue to recommened guests to the property because I still think that it's a very nice place to take a break and I personally like that style of architecture. Well deserving of the title Hip Hotel.
Veranda Hotel and Spa near Cha Am...
Veranda Hotel and Spa near Cha Am is an excellent place to unwind, great pool, pay a few pounds extra and have a sea view room with all the extras. For nightas out get a taxi to Hua Hin [200 bhat - £3]. For what we paid, it was great value. Pool bAr is stunning and the Smoothies/Cocktails, whilst not cheap, are wonderful. Theonly slight disappointment was a dinner we ate in the restaurant. We give the hotel 8 out of 10, but the food only 6 out of ten. If you want European food, try the Paris Brasserie in Hua Hin. We will certainly be back.

Beautiful located on the beach, quite new and great architecture and furnishing, decoration and equipment.
Unfortunately already run downed (wet ceilings, broken edges etc.). Stuff is not helpful at all, speak very bad english and dont really care about guests except in the restaurant. Reception is not well organised. Fitness room is very small and bad equipped. The location is far away from any civilisation and taxis are not available. Shuttle busses from the hotel quite expensive.
