We enjoyed our stay at this hotel,...
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and will probably return. It was an overall fine experience. A few points: a) Rooms: We stayed in the "bungalows" on our first night. I felt that these were dark and of poor quality compared to the hotel rooms themselves. They are more secluded though, and there is a small pool that seemed to be rarely used. We then stayed in a Garden View room. Much nicer, with a comfortable, large balcony. Very bright, clean and welcoming. Definately value for money. b) Food: The hotel restaurant is OK, but I'd suggest it be visited once upon arrival. Other restaurants are twice as good at half the price. Our favorite was "Sawadee" down the road. Places on the beach (turn right) were also very friendly. The Tum Yum at the "Small Shop" restaurant was really excellent. The breakfast was not great, but it is an all you can eat buffet. The coffee was good. c) Staff: No complaints. The level of English was good enough. People were friendly, even in the face of fairly miserable European package tourists.
