Its location is prime of night market, 7-11, banks, pharmacy and food hubs etc. I booked Club Room which was reasonable price compared to other 5 star and get club benefits; however, I was upgraded to Suites type as first stay. I was surprised because it was high season during royal flora festival 3-5feb. You must try the spa "Deravana" it was quite expensive but you get what you pay definitely. Highly recommend to new

Modern but some way to go
The hotel does have a very modern interior but I am not sure it matches what Chaing Mai is all about. Having spent the previous 4 nights in another 5 star hotel in Bangkok, I am sorry to say that the D2 fell quite a way short, very short, of the services and goods on offer in the club lounge arena. It is ideally located for the night market and to wander around the town. The staff are friendly but it feels like this is a training ground for the more upmarket hotels and these are just on the first rung. Enjoyable all the same.

Great Staff
The Dusit D2 is an excellent hotel. The particularly outstanding feature of this hotel is the fact that every staff member I encountered was friendly, full of smiles, knowledgeable and responsible. The great staff combined with the delightful ambience of the hotel insure an enjoyable stay.

The hotel is absolutely cool for the young professional and travellers,hotel interiors is tasteful and modern. Hotel staff are well groom and hip to compliment the ambiance.The location is perfect since it is in the heart of Chiang mai. The toilet lacks privacy though because of the location of the blinds. Otherwise its a new design that needs to be appreciated overtime. Putting an additional security door in the hallway to the bedrooms is a good idea to deter unwanted "visitors".

Our stay at this establishment was most enjoyable. The staff were always attentive and could not help you enough. They rang and made a booking for us without any charge and even sent us a reminder letter of the upcoming event. Hotel decor was outstanding and the theme was followed through to the last detail. Would definately stay in this hotel again!

This is a fantastic hotel, a member of the Small Luxury Hotels Group. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff here are extremely friendly and helpfull. They arranged trips for us and helped us with other extra things. Its also situated right beside the night market which but the old town is still within walking distance. The pool here isnt very big if that is a concern for you.

The hotel is very nicelly decorated and kept and people are very friendly like everywhere in Thailand. The only problem I find is the noice isolation could be better. You can here people talking in the room next door. By the location I would not call this a place to stay for families but more for Business travellers.
