Comfortable hotel well located for a short stay. Rooms very comfortable and very clean - service excellent. Could do with more storage space for clothes and a safe in the room. Great breakfast.

The Empress is very conveniently located for the night market and the city. Although the decor and rooms look a little tired, it represents very good value for money, the service is excellent and the inclusive buffet breatkfast is second to none! Not a hotel to spend your days in, but a great base while in the Chiang Mai area.

The Empress is a nice hotel with excellent decoration and service. Perhaps a little pricey however, given the location.
The breakfast was excellent and a touch we especially enjoyed, being football fans there during the world cup, was the custom printed schedule of game times.
The night market was about a 15 minute walk (which we enjoyed), but next time we might try something a little closer to the city center.

Staff is friendly, very good hopitality. It's worth to the price. Breakfast is good has various food. Swimming pool and sauna are good but gym is disappointed as has some aerobic machines like treadmills and bicycles, not much for weight training. I can say it's more than expectation when you pay that price.

Very nice hotel in excellent location. Very friendly staff and outstanding service. The rates are very affordable. When in Chiang Mai with my family, I will only stay at the Empress. Recommended to every vacationer.

We were delighted with the beauty and spaciousness of the hotel. The public areas, pool, sun terrace etc were all above expectations. Our delux room was huge, tastefully furnished and well lit. The corridors were wide and thickly carpeted.
The breakfasts were sumptuous and they even prepared us a special Thai breakfast on request.
The staff were beautifully dressed, well groomed and charming and couldn't have been more helpful.
There were fresh flower arrangements everywhere includung our room.

We throughly enjoyed staying at the Empress, the room was comfortable and clean. the shower in the bathroom was also excellent. A good choice for breakfast. The hotel was ideally located and if we return to Thailand we will definatley stay there again.
