We love the Chiangmai Hill 2000 Hotel....
We love the Chiangmai Hill 2000 Hotel. We stayed there in June for about a week. We love the breakfast but hope they will have various types of food next time. The front desk and housekeeping is kind.
The only inconvenience are: they only have one one-way shuttle bus to the night market and the shuttle bus is too late, hope the hotel will have a 6:30pm shuttle bus to the nite market next time. Hope the hotel will provide more shuttle buses to/from the night market and hotel next time. Hope the coffee shop will provide different countries buffets in the evening in the future.

There were only 2 negative points. You must submit a form to the hotel operator to make an overseas call, some inconvienence. We ate dinner there one night. It was not very good although the breakfasts were very good. It is located close to downtown which makes visiting downtown in the evenings very convienient.

A downside was the renovations being done while I was trying to rest. It seemed that my entire wing was under construction. I was also hoping for an English movie channel on the tv, but there was none. The location was a bit far from town for a solo traveler, but it was close to the zoo and chiangmai university, and I had a nice view of the mountains out my window.
The restaurant had a nice breakfast buffet, but the lunch left something to be desired for a vegetarian.
I might recommend it to a friend. It was a good sort of business class hotel, or a nice one if you didn't feel like staying too near the center.

Had a nice mountain view from my room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Had difficulty sending a fax outside of Thailand. The hotel is far from the city but is near the Chiang Mai University, zoo, and the mountain top temple.
