Hotel is tired and old
location is good, but age and layout of hotel are not impressive.

Room was quite spacious and good value for money.
The markets right outside your door could be a plus or a minus - it can be annoying in the evening when you want to walk somewhere to have to negotiate past the touters on the footpaths.

Very expensive internet and food
We stayed only two nights there and did not use. We were shocked by how expensive the internet service was at this hotel. This hotel is 3.5-star, but their internet charge is no less than the 5-star hotels. Most 3.5 to 4-star hotels in Chiang Mai offers free internet service. Their restaurant also charges 5-star hotel prices. There are many other restaurants around this hotel offering very reasonable priced foods with quality.
Having that said, the location of this hotel is excellent. It is in the centre of all actions at very reasonable prices, e.g. massages (good quality), foods, night market, etc.

Great Holiday
The Royal Princess is everything I was looking for in my stay in Chiang Mai. The service was excellent and the accommodation first class. There was plenty of variety in the food , especially at breakfast ! Altogether a pleasant stay in a great location.
Great location
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful and the most friendly people we have encountered in our travels. They all seem to go the extra mile in every situation and everyone always had a friendly smile and a kind word for us. Our special compliments to the ladies at the lobby bar for making each day special for us as we sat there in the afternoon and had our Long Island Iced Tea! The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great. The location of the hotel was perfect for us with lots of things to see and do in the downtown area without having to take a cab everywhere. We can't wait to go again to Chaing Mai again and will definitely stay at this hotel when we do.
Very dedicated staff and beautiful hotel located right in the middle of the night bazaar. Perfect except maybe for the internet service which be a little overpriced. Definitely worth the money.
It is a great hotel to stay at when in Chiang Mai. The location is ideal for shopping,entertainment and dining. The hotel is clean and the room we stayed in was very comfortable and quiet.
Perfect location!
Hotel is central to nightly markets and many restaurants and shopping areas. Everything is walkable distances and not bad rooms. Very good for the price! I would definitely stay there again when visiting Chiang Mai. They also offer free airport transportation. Very recommendable.

PR is excellent. Front desk staff went to the extra mile of remembering our names and room number whenever we collected our room key.
Gave us useful information on places we wanted to visit especially the Roman Catholic Church.
