I am very upset about my stay...
I am very upset about my stay in Amora. At least when u see the description, it looks nice but absolutely not !
I was very disappointed to see how much the hotel was old style inside, the room was really ugly, the Aircon was very noisy and inappropriate position near the bed. the TV signal was not clear and the ambiance in the hotel is so and so.
I was suprised that furniture were very old and it is very expensive for the service too.
I wont go back there. after 3 nights because i had no choice (i paid before on asianrooms.com), i decided to move to another hotel.

I stayed there with my boyfriend in the two nights we had in chiang mai, and it was great. we took the delux mountain view room, the staff was very nice, the room was clean, the bad was comfortable,location great - near the night market, price excelent. what can I say more...I recommand it warmly:)

We had a lovely stay at Amora Tapae. A well located hotel with a clean & tidy, comfortable set room. Great breakfast selection & good facilities including own plush Spa salon. Very friendly & welcoming staff. Only disappointment was we weren't staying longer!

This hotel offers very good value for the price we paid for the room, the staff were helpful, room was well presented, swimming pool area was good, we only stayed three night so did not avail ourselves of any meals other than breakfast, which were very good.I marked the "facilities"with three smiling faces only, due to the rather silly (in my opinion!)90 BHT cost per day to use the inroom safe,one had to use the security boxes at the reception.

My wife and I spent 4 nights in the hotel. It was a great experience. We had a room with a mountain view on the 12th floor. Breakfast each morning was very good. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
We were leaving late on the day of our checkout and they held our luggage for us until 8:00pm. Several restaurants are withing walking distance. We did not use a tour service from the hotel. We found a driver on our own. Som Chai drives a white Range Rover and does an excellent job.
We will visit Chiang Mai again and will definitely stay at this hotel.

A lovely, clean hotel, that was ideally located next to the old city. A quick easy walk into the old city, and a 50Baht Tuk-Tuk to the riverside.
Daret's Place is just a short walk down the road, and is an excellent eating place. (It's a guesthouse, so prices are really cheap).
Hotel staff were very friendly. Only downside, they charged you for using the safety deposit box in your room! The alternative was to use one of the boxes in the lobby area. (Quite safe, but a hassle).

Very classy hotel. The SPA and swimming pool where wonderfull. It's a shame the swimming pool is closed at 7 PM. Very good situation closed to the night market.
