Hotel senior staff not that friendly. Booked 6 rooms, 5 rooms with breakfast and 1 without. On check out hotel advised that 2 rooms were without breakfast? Hotel should provide breakfast ticket. Good location, Sunday walking street nearby.
Very happy
I've stayed at Amora for a few times now and the staff remember us and always treat us like we are special. Always ready to help even with the smallest things. Very impressed!!

Bitterly dissapointed
I do not know what is happening at the Amora but after having stayed there over 30 times , this would have been the worst.
The receptionist was not only disrespecfull , she was simply rude. She insisted that I paid for my accommodation upfront though I have never incurred this request before.
She also asked me several questions to which the answers were already provided on my booking sheet. We went for dinner, as we usually do, but there was no waiting staff on hand so we had to go and ask at reception if someone could serve us, no Heineken, no mussells no ice in the mixed drinks no lemon for the gin tonic and the delay for the food was over twenty minutes and this time the food was tasteless except for the sting from the chillies.
In the morning we looked for a porter but they weren't on hand, the reception didn't even ask if we wanted to check out and we were left to our own devices. All in all , this time I would rate them as poor, sorry, very poor.I think they are downsizing on everthing and it shows. When business is down one should do everthing to make the tourism experience great, the Amora should invest in a pleasant experience but they don't. Out of ten - 5

Shopping in Chiang Mai
In 2011 - the 21st century - Wi-Fi should be free in the room! Otherwise we had a very enjoyable stay.
Overall was OK. I asked for top floor room. I got it on 10th floor.
11th flor is smoking floor and there is 12th floor as well.
Buffet breakfast from 6.00-10.00am was very good.
Swimming pool not crowded. 1.5m deep overall and for children small round
pool around 40-50cm deep.
No balcony. Window view to north
(in discription of the room was - ancient town view- it was not true.
It should be to the west).

Disappointing
This is my third stay at Amora Tapae and had i not stayed at another hotel prior to this visit i might have been happy with my stay.
Some minor annoyances being room service. I had to call for a menu because they are not kept in the room and had to endure the presence of the employee while i mad my selection.
Hotel is now looking a bit shabby and some other hotels compare favourably in location and price. I moved from Centara Duangtawan and should have stayed where i was.
Nice place to stay
Nice place, good pricing but we had breakfast at the motel for the length of our stay and the food was well presented but always cold (bacon, eggs etc) I mentioned this to staff but nothing changed , so I recomend you get them to make you a fresh omlette it will be hot. The pool was a great area to hang after shopping but sadly there were very limited deck chairs and those that were there had towels on them from a very early time ,apart from that the rooms and all areas of the motel we were in were clean and tidy and the hotel itself is well priced.The hotel is definately in a great location as you can walk to everything and the Sunday walking market is directly across the street.Booking this Hotel through Asia Rooms is a great saving and there is definately no hassles when you get there its all booked 'and all you need to do is show them the credit card you used to purchase the room.

Good location, excellent value for money. Rooms are basic but clean. The food at Chillis is good and well priced as well.

Once again, I have stayed at the Amora Tapae. The service is excellent. The location is terrific. So close to all interesting sites in and around the Old City.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay with you. All the staff are caring and smiling. This is my 4th time at this hotel. I cannot find fault.

Satisfied Guest
I am here for a night for business and what is important to me is the room cleanliness, convenience and internet access. I am very satisfied with the first 2 as the sheets are clean and the room too; there is no lack of choice of restaurants nearby (there is even a McDonald's a short walk away). But the internet access by DoCoMo is expensive as it costs 40% of the room rate (THB 550)if you buys the 24 hr use (there is also half hour and one hour plans). Another thing I liked is that there is a gym if you like to workout. Overall, I am satisfied as the rate is still competitive, especially if you do not use the internet.
