Nice and clean resort but most staff do...
Nice and clean resort but most staff do not understand English except the front desk. We had problems ordering our food, requesting extra pillows and making appointments for spas because of language problem. Didn't order mineral water but waitress understood us wrongly and gave us mineral water. Although we clarified that it wasn't our order, she left it on our table and charged to our bill anyway.
Breakfast is not fantastic. Choice of food at restuarant is limited, Food is cheap though. Chinese food is quite tasty but the western food still has much room for improvement.
Unless you arrange a tour or hire a car, you can't really go anywhere while staying there. Huge mosquitoes during rainy season although these mosqitoes are not very aggressive.
Tiny swimming pool closes at a ridiculous hour of 6 pm. Spas operate till 8 pm which is comparatively early as spas elsewhere operate till later.
Large bed but it's formed by 2 single beds which caused me to have backache as there was no proper support in the middle of the "large bed".

This resort on the outskirts of Chiang Mai has a nice mountain setting and beautiful landscaping. The resort offers spa services which we did not use. When we were there in January it was very quiet with few people. From the web page we were under the impression that there was a tour desk but when we asked at registration they did not know what we were talking about. We ending up checking out a day early because there was not enough to do. The pool was cold and in an uninviting setting and the exercise facilities were very dated. The rooms were large and contained all the modern amenities including satellite TV and a minibar. Beds were large and comfortable.
