This resort is out of town, up...
This resort is out of town, up in the mountains. The rooms are spacious and well furbished. This is a great place to get away from the city hustle and bustle and relax. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Great food, decent pool.. i would stay again without hesitation.

A lovely setting, reasonable rooms, but upset...
A lovely setting, reasonable rooms, but upset by a large corporate party going on outside in the grounds organised by hotel for both nights we stayed. This kept us and our children awake. We should have been warned about this. Otherwise good.

Suan Bua Resort is a beautifully landscaped...
Suan Bua Resort is a beautifully landscaped place, with trees, river, and buildings built to conform with nature. The service is good and the front desk people are friendly and helpful. It is ideal for a relaxing holiday, but apart from the beautifully big rooms and lovely ambience, there isn't much to do. We stayed there for 4 nights, which got a little boring. The menu could also do with more varieties of food and dessert. After all, good food would have fulfilled the boredom?

We had a plesant stay in the...
We had a plesant stay in the resort. Beautiful garden, nice spa & message centre. Great place for relaxing. Friendly and helpful staff, they remember you from Day 1. However, the taxi price between Chiang Mai city and the resort is high, about 200B per person, which is a bit high considering only 30-40 min smooth drive.

I stay in Suan Bua for a...
I stay in Suan Bua for a night during Dec 2006. It's a resort among the hills, roomsize is big, the landscape is beautiful with lots of flowers and a lovely pond but lack of entertainment facilties in the resort. It's a ideal place for rest and relax. There is a small mini-mart just outside the entrance of the resort to buy the daily neccessities.The Gym and swimming pool were not in good condition. Transport from airport / Transport to City cost me BHT 600 per way. There is a small waterfall 1 km downhill from the resort worth visiting. On the way there, you will pass by Orchid Hill B&B, resort built on the valley with the river flowing next to it. Extremely Heavenly.

Plus: Very refreshing, the air was so good, temperature was perfect, especially in the morning. The people were really polite, service was perfect, always smiling. Minus: The building construction spoilt the view. There weren't enough flowers (compared with Lanna or Krisada resorts). Overall: We love the place.

Generally good. Friendly and prompt service, great landscaped garden, great surroundings with majestic mountain backdrop, good for a early morning jog in the cool weather, the food is so-so, room wise are large and well maintained as well though the tv reception can be better. cool climate. transportation provided to city area for about 200 baht. overall well satisfied.

Well, FANTASTIC rooms, FANTASTIC ladscaping, FANTASTIC spa........the only thing was I fear I may have geatecrashed some sort of pseudio religious gathering partly financed by a local private internartional school. After 6pm st night, NOTHING HAPPENS. Your are met with a  clueless face when enquiring as to what occurs in the evenings. We traipsed to a reported karaoke bar, some 1km away. this was a basic rural hut with little lectricity. 11/10 for accomodation purely 1/10 for activity, things to do (honeymooners or failies only)

A truly 5-star hotel! Because it is...
A truly 5-star hotel! Because it is allocated at the outskirts of Chiang mai, getting out of the hotel is a big hassle. The good thing about it is that it ensures total privacy and time to bond with whoever your with. Great for honeymooners and families. The landscaping is breathtaking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I lost my baggage while on transit in Bangkok and the staff took care of everything. The food was't great and the pool was really cold but other than that, it was an awesome hotel and I wouldn't mind returning.
