This hotel was just plain charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was so beautiful that when we arrived we spent the rest of the day in it. It was our honeymoon. They had decorated it with beautiful flowers and candles. Everything about this place was great. There soap had this amazing jasmine scent. I bought a bottle to take home with me. I actually got really sick one night from a road trip to the golden triangle. The hotel staff called a doctor to the room for me at 4 am and I was better within a day. We stayed in four hotels for the duration of our trip to Thailand. This hotel was by far our favorite!!!!!

The food served at the restaurant was reasonably good. The service staff was very attentive and accommodating. However it would help if the breakfast spread could vary each day. The free internet access was great except that with only two computers, sometime it could be a long wait to use them.

Lovely hotel, full of characters, authenthicity and traditional building which makes a change from all the modern hotels we see today. On Sunday, the evening market is just situated outside the hotel and amazing stalls which seem endless on the street which is closed to traffic from 3pm. This is where all the locals come. Not far to walk to the daily evening market which is meant for tourist rather than the locals. Nearby are a couple of resturants worth visiting with great food and value for money, information from hotel. Staff are always polite and friendly and nothing is too much for them. Lovely having breakfast looking over the pool. Overall we had a great time.

I absolutely enjoyed the friendly and cozy ambiance at Tamarind Village Hotel Chiang Mai. The staff of hotel makes you feel relaxed and so welcomed. Food in the hotel restaurant was above expectations. After you are well rested you can venture out and explore the magic outside of the little oasis. Fortunately, you are already in the middle of old city.

What a lovely hotel. We stayed for three nights and the friendliness of the hotel really shined through. Room good size. Bathroom excellent and looked quite new. Had a cement floor which was strange at first but was actually quite nice as i think it helped keep the room cooler. Grounds kept in excellent condition. We even saw a models photo shoot, it was that nice. The only problem was that it is too far from the night markets to walk, so we got the red bus each day. Apart from that we would not hesitate to come back to this hotel.

It would be great if locks are installed for the doors to the restroom for privacy. The room needs more lighting. Service at the hotel is great, particularly the staff in the restaurant.

We travelled with our adult children and enjoyed the comfortable and well-airconditioned rooms, good restaurant, friendly and courteous staff who took good care of us, knowledgeable concierge who arranged all the restaurant reservations and aventure outings we wanted, beauiful pool, internet service and gift shop. The bamboo "tunnel" is an enchanting entry to this quiet oasis well located in the Old City. We're surprised that it didn't cost more to stay there.
