My 2nd trip to chiangmai and aware of Tamarind village Hotel since last time, The location is great and can easily access to Sunday afternoon market in 60 seconds. The room is great, similar to Bali's trends and price is o.k. The breakfast is fair and can improve evenmore. Dinner at Tamarind restaurant is full of romantic, I believed you will love it and will return next time!

The resevation is very difficult because there are only few number of rooms. The interior design of hotel room is great with combination of Thai and modern style. However, the road connecting to hotel is closed during Sunday for the Sunday Market and hence the hotel customers need to walk for a distance when returning to the hotel. Moreover, the room charge really rise up a lot when compared to previous years. Overall, the hotel will give you a different feeling when compared to other business hotels and worth staying for the holiday. You will not be disappointed.

We very much enjoyed the hotel's location and atmosphere. It's lucky that we are couple staying in the hotel because the bahtroom provides no privacy at all!, not possible that non-couple nor family share the room.

Very nice hotel layout with several buildings making possible a quiet stay. Service and staff very good, but our room including bathroom was a bit on the small side. Many nice details in furnishings etc. Breakfast very good and restaurant fine. Entertainment in evenings a bonus. Very good location in city.

Tamarind village is a beautiful complex, with superb facilities. The location is great and the staff are very helpful. However, we booked a superior room and were a bit disappointed with it - it was a ground-floor room, it smelled a bit damp and there wasn't a great deal of natural light. Book a deluxe room if you can!

Great location, you can walk to all...
Great location, you can walk to all places of interest in Chiang Mai. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere in the hotel complex, nicely decorated and clean room (we stayed in a deluxe room upstairs), very friendly staff and good service. Excellent breakfast. It was great to stay there on a Sunday as well and walk around the street market in front of the hotel, where lots of locals go and is not targeted to just tourists (i.e. night bazaar).

This is a small but beautiful hotel...
This is a small but beautiful hotel in the center of Chiang Mai town. Though the room did feel a bit small, I enjoyed staying there. One thing about the bathroom, there should be complete door between bathroom and bedroom, not that swing door, I know it looks romantic but not pratical at all, all the sound and smell you do in toilet can be felt outside. And finally the breakfast was one of the worst I ever had in this class of hotel.

a truly excellent hotel with gorgeous rooms,...
a truly excellent hotel with gorgeous rooms, stunning pool and excellent service. It really is a little oasis within the bustling city. Although the food in the restaurant isnt as cheap as what you can find elsewhere in the city it really was delicious and i am still craving thier red curry with duck 3 weeks later. The price of the meal would be reasonable so long as you dont require wine with your meal. as elsewhere in thailand wine is not cehap, expect to pay prices on a par with the UK. (13/£14) i will most difinitely stay here again shoul i return to Chiang mai.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. It's great...
This hotel was absolutely amazing. It's great value - for just over $100 a night, we had immaculate clean rooms, gorgeous grounds, outstanding breakfast. The staff goes out of their way to create a mellow, peaceful vibe and they do a great job. It's more low key and the rooms are more simplistic than some of the other new hotels but we prefer that - we found it more relaxing and it was different than a Western chain hotel, of which there are plenty. Tamarind Village is very well kept - the hotel seemed very new. The rooms and grounds include subtle traditional Thai details that really enhance this hotel. This hotel is a beautiful oasis in the middle of a bustling city. It's a pleasure to come home to and we were sad to leave. Great location, all around excellent choice.
