Probably the best location for those who prefer authenticity and nature... Very close to the main nice attactions, quiet, clean. Best rate value for money,a bit far from the city. Even the restaurant is okay...

Transportation is quite a problem since the location is far. Room is great. The massage at the spa was not so great. The spa music was too loud and the staff were constantly talking. I had better massages and I felt more relaxed in other spas.

We stayed in one of the two...
We stayed in one of the two bedroom bungalows. Although the bungalows are very large (they could sleep 6-8 people if the living room is used) they are sparcely furnished and in need of refurbishment. The property is too far (30 minutes drive) from Chaing Mai to be used as a base for visiting the city. On the positive side the rooms were very clean, service was good and there are a lot of outdoor activities to do. However, overall, the hotel was much too expensive for the quality of room provided (although it would be economical if you were to sleep 8 people in the bungalow).

The exterior design of the villa that...
The exterior design of the villa that we stayed was beautiful. But the upkeep of the rooms was appalling. The aircon was noisy and had not been serviced for a while which the technican took time to do it after my complaint. It was dripping water on the second day from night till morning, wet the floor and had to relocate the bed away from the aircon above. The toilet was cleaned properly, had used towel and shower cap handing behind the door. It was a two room villa but had new towels in one room. Breakfast spread was also limited, almost same everyday with very little variation. Staff could not speak English except the reception, had a hard time trying to explain to them our problems. The positive side to all this fiasco, is patience and their willingness to make good whenever they can but this should not be happening when one is on holiday. It wasnt value for money at all.

It was a beautiful place, amidst the cool hills and crisp ,mountain air. However, not recommended for the traveller with a tight budget, and with a heavy itinerary in mind. Meals and tour services conducted by the hotel are way over-priced, and costumers would be better off eating and using the services from the city. Free daily shuttles to the city are provided by the hotel. Nonetheless, the breathtaking scenery and charming atmosphere somehow more than made up for Belle Villa's shortcomings.

We would definately stay here again. The manager was very accomodating and assisted us with all of our needs; and more. Ideal place for someone looking for a serene setting and getting away from the city hustle and bustle.

Serene, quiet and peaceful environment. Good for retreat away from hussle and bustle of citylife. Clean and comfortable room, breakfast quite nice. Quite far from town though about 40 mins drive. Good getaway!

Excellent in all respects: friendly, good service, relaxing, good facilities. The super deluxe room was well woth it for the view from the balcony. Good tours organised through the hotel. Nice countyside, villages and local restaurants nearby. Much more felaxing and enjoyable than staying in Chiang Mai. Would definitely go back again.

I stay in Belle Villa resort for...
I stay in Belle Villa resort for 4days in July 2005.the hotel didn't give good image at the begining because of late pick up for half hour and they didn't give any excuse for their late even I reconfirm again the pick up time in the morning .The hotel is in the mountain area, 30mins by car to city.. it is not convient for one who like shopping but good for one who wanna escape from the city. and second downside of Belle Villa is that they serve very very poor breakfast for the guest.. it is incrediable for us...how can I say?? it is the worst breakfast in my experience even worst than the 2 star hotel I ever stay. the hotel give the excuse that because of low season so they didn't serve open buffet breakfast.. (but they should notice guest before make reservation) so I think it is not good to go there in summer time.. no service indeed. even they changed shuttle bus schedule to go city without notice (no excuse to the guest) the hotel changed their rule without notic so be careful .. and don't forget reconfirm everything.. and thired downside of Belle Villa..coz the hotel is in mountain area so that must have lunch and dinner in the hotel's restaurant..the price is high not worth for the food and the hotel rate ..also be careful with the insect there...one guest was bite with the scorpion during my stay and  the hotel didn't do good arrangement with the accident so be careful if you wanna go there. Good scenery ...but we won't come back Belle Villa again.
