Room size not big for the standard.I booking 2 rooms find that one of it the toilet had bad smell,no matter on the ventilation fan whole night still keep have the bad smell inside the room.

Overall service from the hotel could have been better. We were given an old and worn out room upon checking in. We asked for a room change and they gave us a better room the next day. Food is ok. Pool is rather small but sufficient for a quick deep. Location is reasonable, about 500m away from the bustling night market. Hotel staff should be trained more on "Service with smile".

We had enjoyable stay at Downntown Inn. Although the room was a bit small but it was okay for the price that we paid. The breakfast was good, the room was clean and it was a plus with easy access to night market and many food outlets.

What a great little hotel, and for the price it was definitely worth it. Like the other reviews put it, the bathrooms were a bit tight, but how much time to you spend in the bathroom? A quick shower and we were on our way, back on the town. The breakfast buffet was great, plenty of food whatever your liking. A helpful tip -we hired our airport taxi driver for the entire three days we were in Chiang Mai, and felt like we saw everything there was to see. Great town, great hotel, thumbs up!

Downtown inn is a lvoely hotel for families. The hotel's location is perfect, close to the night market and the breakfast is pretty good. I'd say that it's good value for staying there.

Our group of 9 simply loved the area / hotel . Away from the main road and walking distance to the night bazaar . Good for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Overall service is excellent except for a few mosquitoes in the room and toilet.

the hotel is walking distance to night market=good foods at the food court at night market.definitely will visit Chiang Mai again .It is a clean city.

Stayed for a night in Feb 07....
Stayed for a night in Feb 07. Rooms are ok, very few cable TV channels and sometimes poor reception. Bathroom was small but have hot water, B'fast is decent as usual, front-desk staff are quite friendly. But very value for money and good location: just a minute walk to the night bazaar.. Would reccomend to budget travellers and those who would not spend much time in the hotel.
