We had a great stay at the hotel, although I must admit it is way too far from the city! It would have been better had the hotel offered a free shuttle service to and from the city, especially in the evenings as taxi and tuk-tuk service is hard to find to travel such a long distance. All things considered, the hotel is a great find, very friendly staff and the accommodation was very clean and nice. I would definitely recommend it for travellers looking for some peace and quiet from the busy city life, but not for those who prefer to be in the centre of things within walking distance from the local amenities.

Having spent our time at the Kaomai Lanna Resort in the low season, it is hard to describe the service level, because we do not know, if the same standards are present in the high season.
We have enjoyed our stay very much, and would certanly recommend this resort to any other travellers, going to chaing mai.
The staff is very kind and the resort is surrounded by beatiful nature with wild life. An overall superb and enjoyable holiday wich would rate 4 out of 5 stars, should we ever have to rate the Kaomai Lanna Resort.

Kaomai Lanna is a charming hotel. We were the only guests there during our stay. We were a family of 8 so we did not mind but it might feel a little eerie if you are the only couple staying there! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The mini van we booked via the hotel was a little expensive considering we got a similar van for less than half the price in Chiangmai city.
The pool was nice and big enough. Perhaps a KTV room would be welcome.
Recommended if you like something different from the usual.
Charming accommodation in a lush tropical garden...
Charming accommodation in a lush tropical garden setting. Large pool with plenty of seats/sunbeds. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Delightful staff, couldn't be more helpful. Bicycles with gears lent to us were great for cycling round the mostly flat countryside. We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely return.
