Perfect for Thai tourist.
We arrived quite late for check in [11.30 pm] but all went smooth for our 7 night stay. We had to pay for the for the room straight away instead of at checkout which I thought odd, maybe they thought we might do a runner. We booked a deluxe room which I would reccommend as its a bit bigger with nice furniture and a huge bed. The t.v channels were virtually all Thai, I could'nt even find the bbc world news.We were on the tenth floor which would give great views were it not for the pollution haze hanging over the city. Next morning was breakfast and what a let down that was as the buffet caters mainly for Thai. I managed to find the corn flakes but not the milk and when I asked a waiter for it he said "all gone". That really set the tone for the the next six mornings. If you like rice soup and cold eggs any style you will not be dissapointed, as for me, I'm off to Mc donalds. The swimming pool is just about big enough to drown a mouse with no pool towels and antique sun beds dating back to the reign of king Rama 1. If you dive in one end of the pool you come up at the other. The location of the hotel is in the middle of the night market with tuk tuk drivers trying to sell you trips. Having said that we used one to take us to the zoo for 100 bht and we just then paid to go in which was far cheaper than an organized tour. There are some great little eating places inside the night market way cheaper than restaurant prices and well worth checking out. So to sum up, room is good, breakfast is'nt worth getting out of bed for, and good location with a good price through asia rooms. As a bit of advice when we travel north /south in Thailand we use the Nakhon Chai Air bus company. You have to go to their bus stations to book tickets but worth the effort. Well holiday over for another year, hope you found this report useful, over and out.
