Ths is probably the 3rd or 4th time I've stayed at this hotel. The only reason is because of the excellent location for the bars, restaurants and shopping - and because when there on business (usually there on business) the popular location (next to nigh market) means everyone knows where it is (tuk tuk drivers, etc). But the rooms are really worn out and so are the lifts, common areas, restaurant. The breakfast was basic - but they have a cook who will make you eggs, etc. The first night there was party or concert or something going on either in the hotel conference room or outside but the whole building thumped until nearly 4am (I really hate that). The next two nights were ok - so maybe a one-off. The tuk tuk drivers outside the hotel are there every day - and they didn't try to rip me off. They were good (e.g. 120 baht to airport). The hotel staff were easy going and the hotel seemed 'friendly'. There is a pool but no fitness room however the hotel across the street had a good fitness centre and nicer pool and allowed outsiders day-use for 200 THB. If you want a more comfortable hotel in this area you will need to spend a lot more - probably around 3,000 THB++. I paid 1,250 THB per night (in high season) - but really it' s not worth more than 800 THB. Would I stay again? Maybe.

Convenient and Good Breakfast!
Being very close to the Night Bazaar is really nice, both for the night bazaar and availability of transportation to anywhere at anytime. The room is clean and the free breakfast makes the room almost feel like it's free. One elevator is glass and overlooks part of the city, so the kids loved that. The pool is nothing to brag about, but they have one. Great location, great breakfast!

The location is super convenience, just a min can shop at famous Bazaar night market.
Overall, i will rate above average for this hotel but I need to highlight 2 things to be improve by the hotel.
1) the water pipe in the bath tub, the hot water is difficult to control
2) the mattress too soft and perhaps they need to replace a new one

I know Lanna Hotel since many years. Yes, the Hotel need an general renovation, but compaire to the price and location, its still OK. The rooms are big, breakfast is good. They have an swimming pool, english written newspaper and tv cannels. So if you looking for an normal standard and prices its fine. And the location is perfect.

Perfect for Thai tourist.
We arrived quite late for check in [11.30 pm] but all went smooth for our 7 night stay. We had to pay for the for the room straight away instead of at checkout which I thought odd, maybe they thought we might do a runner. We booked a deluxe room which I would reccommend as its a bit bigger with nice furniture and a huge bed. The t.v channels were virtually all Thai, I could'nt even find the bbc world news.We were on the tenth floor which would give great views were it not for the pollution haze hanging over the city. Next morning was breakfast and what a let down that was as the buffet caters mainly for Thai. I managed to find the corn flakes but not the milk and when I asked a waiter for it he said "all gone". That really set the tone for the the next six mornings. If you like rice soup and cold eggs any style you will not be dissapointed, as for me, I'm off to Mc donalds. The swimming pool is just about big enough to drown a mouse with no pool towels and antique sun beds dating back to the reign of king Rama 1. If you dive in one end of the pool you come up at the other. The location of the hotel is in the middle of the night market with tuk tuk drivers trying to sell you trips. Having said that we used one to take us to the zoo for 100 bht and we just then paid to go in which was far cheaper than an organized tour. There are some great little eating places inside the night market way cheaper than restaurant prices and well worth checking out. So to sum up, room is good, breakfast is'nt worth getting out of bed for, and good location with a good price through asia rooms. As a bit of advice when we travel north /south in Thailand we use the Nakhon Chai Air bus company. You have to go to their bus stations to book tickets but worth the effort. Well holiday over for another year, hope you found this report useful, over and out.

Well located near nightlife and night bazard
Room and bathroom very clean but slightly faded. The room very spacious and comfortable. The bedding is perfect for my taste.
Breakfast quite good but nothing more. value for money is good.
Personal cheerful and always available
The hotel is located almost in the middle of the night bazard and nightlife, restaurants, bars and other tourist satisfaction. Everything is within reach.
I have no other hotel for me to compare but I would not hesitate to return to this hotel
