I have stayed in this hotel many times and it remains very good value.
The pool (which is big and welcomly cool) was being renovated while I was there. You could still swim but the available pool side area was about 40% of normal.
If you like a work out and sauna after sampling all the attractions of Chiang Mai then the gym (free to guests)is very well equipped.
Otherwise try the in house restaurants - they are excellent.

(German)Es war ein sehr schöner und angenehmer Aufenthalt mitten im Herzen von ChiangMai. ABgesehen vom recht teuren Internet war es sehr gut. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich.

I stayed here for 4 nights and...
I stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed the location as well as the facilities .. The internet was expensive for guests of the hotel, when there are quite a few around the corner or out front for half the price..The room was well layed out and big and well worth the price..Location just off night market, tour operators and laundries right out front..Inhouse spa available also but cheaper to walk down and enjoy the massage..7/11 out front as well makes it all the more easier to supply needs..
Overall the hotel was really nice, clean and very friendly staff..Always helpful and smiling, even the nightshift of all guys who couldn't understand a lot of English..
Would definitely recommend it and would surely consider staying there again..Perhaps discounted rates on internet and in house massages would be helpful..

The stay was ok. Room is quite old fashioned and not superb cleaned. You can almost hear exactly what your neighbours say or do. Elevators are a problem,long waiting. The servicelevel is low,especially at reception. Barprices are very high. It is the great location and the size of the room which makes this hotel popular.

I booked a twn room for my daughter & I for 2 nights stay.We got a good decent rate as it was off peak,but it was good to know that the rates given were nett.Location was good & easy to move around on foot.The elevators were small & waiting time was longer than desired.Pool& gym are adequate. Breakfast was okay as they had quite a spread with choices.Will consider staying there again if room rates remain competitive.Overall good value.

This is a very practical & useful...
This is a very practical & useful hotel for location & good value. The best feature is the fitness centre & pool. It is very busy & crowded at all times. The fitness centre has more equipment than most hotel gyms & better than average air con for asia! but the gym smells of old socks & has broken light fixutes that have not been repaired for a few years (since my first time,2 years ago). The beds are firm & so are the pillows! The lifts are chronically slow because of the volume of use! I always advise take a room on a floor not too high in case you need to take the stairs up or down! But all in all, especially if only for a few days it is ideal!
